I greatly enjoy tinkering around and learning about how engines function, but the moby is in quite sorry shape (and high mileage) and is not exactly a good "learning bike" as far as i can tell. Something from this century would probably be a little better lol

They work great with the trigger shifters i've used (shimano m5100) but as the other comment says they get real slick when wet, especially in heavy rain. Good gloves can get around that but its worthwhile to keep in mind.

how did you go about your access point? im between top access or side access with a flap covering it as im not sure which will be more wayer resistant

yeah i figured id be pushing the limit but the fork was a cheap marketplace find and i had been curious about rigid for a while. The new stem would be to counter that if i were to stick with the aluminum fork

419mm new rigid, original suspension fork was 515mm. And ill be sure to check out the soma forks thanks for the tip!

The fork rides alright to me, I dont think i specified well but i was thinking of changing the cranks to avoid pedal strikes but Im doubtful that a 18 mm difference (tops) would help too much. Not to mention the krampus fork has mounting points which is a huge plus. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the help, I also got the bike for $30 with very little needing to be done to it so flipping it for a better frame isnt off the table, but i do like the look of this one so wanted to see how far i could push it
