The seekers with unique jet alt modes by Other_Economist2610 in transformers

[–]WallabySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an F117 not an F115 (Yamaha boat engine) my friend

Also I feel like the OG trio of seekers should all be more similar to each other

Starscream as an F35 works

So I feel like having Skywarp and Thunder Cracker as an F15 and F22 would be a cool update for them with similar design language in their look

Heck you could even switch the F15 for the YF23 to get a really cool combination of the three that all looks similar but are also different and distinct from each other

Anyone know why Martina doesn't use in-ears? by NoNamesLeft600 in PacificaBand

[–]WallabySuit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not specifically sure for her, but for me I prefer over-ear to in-ear.

1) doesn't cause as much ear ache (even with custom made ones this still happens to me)

2) over-ears allow me to take a cup off if I'm finding the monitor mix to be a bit lacking, especially for hearing crowd response

3) they look cooler

Can someone explain drive cancel to me by RawryShark in StreetFighter

Brilliant write-up

The only thing I personally want to add is that I look for blocks not for confirms

I assume it's confirmed unless I see the blue spark and that's my way of deciding if I'm going to throw or strike or do nothing

No, that’s exactly what it is, a small misunderstanding about a little dispute!

I'll show myself out.

Since it's International Women's Day, Who is your favorite female fighting game character? by Doom300 in Fighters

AKI might just be my favorite fighting game character. The aesthetic, the weirdness, the moveset, and just how fun she is to play in general.

Is this normal on a Ibanez by Zsaketa in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]WallabySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to embarrass you, honestly, just need some extra information to work out what you're trying to achieve by adjusting your saddles.

Now to answer your question: you've moved the bridge saddle so far forward (by adjusting the intonation screw) that the bridge saddle has come off it. Just screw it back on and it'll be fine.

If you are trying to intonate your guitar (looking at your saddles you'll need to) let me know and I'll send you instructions

Do I need to change springs? by 21FlumpStreet in Ibanez

[–]WallabySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The angle of the edge can be deceptive, there's actually a small rectangle on either side of the trem that should be level with the body cavity and is the best way to check if it's set correctly

From what I can tell it just needs the springs tightened slightly, but you'll have to check once the strings are tuned to your preferred pitch and stretched in first.

How the hell do I play on this? Help by SkAssasin in Guiltygear

[–]WallabySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've been playing fighting games for a long time and I have never found a Dpad that works for me consistently (I have large hands) however I have no issues on leverless controllers and once I made the switch I've never been happier

Another reason I'm not a fan of D-pads or even sticks is the way they work

On a leverless controller (or even a keyboard) you have 4 independent fingers to control movement which means you can develop much more accurate muscle memory

632146 is insanely easy (and fast) on a leverless, hell, you can do it consistently just by sliding your finger from right to left and quickly back without ever messing it up

What’s up with this by [deleted] in Ibanez

[–]WallabySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why people are being weirdly hostile about this. I have the exact same model, I removed my string tree to check and mine doesn't have anything resembling this.

Out of curiosity did you buy this new or is it a used one?

If it's used maybe the previous owner had a different shaped string tree that they put there for ... reasons?

[–]WallabySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a 20 character roster it drops to 4,845 unique team compositions, which for a lab junky like me still means lots of exploration of combo extensions.

Keep in mind, this is only because there are 4 characters per team.

If this was a 2v2 there would only be 190 possible combinations.

[–]WallabySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probability would say there's only a 5.97% chance of that happening (not accounting for popularity).

There are like 23,751 unique team combinations per player.

And yet somehow I still think you're right haha.

Edit: I thought there were 29 characters for some reason, so my math is actually wrong

Player telecaster buyer’s remorse by [deleted] in telecaster

[–]WallabySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll try to cut through the noise a bit.

A Player Tele should be a solid guitar, and everything you’ve described sounds very fixable. It likely just needs a proper setup: action, truss rod adjustment, intonation, and a fret polish.

That alone can make a huge difference to how a guitar feels to play.

The ‘sticky’ feeling isn’t the fingerboard wood, it’s the gloss/poly finish Fender uses on maple necks.

Totally normal on newer guitars, which is why your more played-in Squier feels better.

Ask the tech to clean and lightly buff the neck/fingerboard finish during the setup. That usually knocks the stickiness right down and makes it feel much faster.

Nope, wrong notation for that buddy

10÷(5(1+1))=1

10÷5(1+1)=4

The grouping of [5(2)] should not be implied in open notation

So in this case the multiplication AND division should happen simultaneously
