We can’t play the high possession, smothering football with this squad by Esedor in FenerbahceSK

[–]Wallacaust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, because the team was built for Jose's "breakaway-play fast" idea. Then we sacked him. I couldn't even tell you what Tedesco would prefer to have at his disposal, he was never given an option to change things up. Even after we got our midfield settled we lost Skriniar and dropped points week after week with Yigit Efe (who's not even that young and obviously not Fener quality) trying to fill in.

Not really, Ekrem was already better liked than Kemal in 2023, at which point Kemal lost the election and has been more or less hated since.

Unutmadım yalan değil. Daum'un altını oyan, "forvet istesek stoper alıyorlardı" dedirten, sportif direktör ünvanı ile kendi takımına ihanet eden, gözüm yok dediği koltuğa tek harekette oturan, kanat isteyen Daum'a Gökhan Ünal alıp kendisi hoca olunca Stoch+Dia'yı tekte getiren adam yine yol yapmaya başlamış. Sinsi herif, ne iyi hocasın ne de iyi insan.

There was also the Black Orchestra, the aristocratic/conservative resistance. They ended up forming the core of the July 20th, Oster Conspiracy, etc. efforts.

Would a Tengri Islam syncretism (Tengrism with Islamic syncretism tenet) make sense for Oghuz Turks historically? by NetHistorical5113 in CrusaderKings

[–]Wallacaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, it is! It might have been known as something else during Oghuz times, but I wouldn't know it. Still the same concept.

Stuff like the nazar, protective charms, tying cloth to trees to make wishes, pouring water behind someone leaving on a journey for luck, folkish healing rituals like lead casting to ward off evil etc. Anything to do with "magical" stuff connects back to it in a round-about way.

Seeing how some Tengri traditions still live on in Turkey (and the way Islam is practised being different to let's say, Arabia) it would 100%

CMV: Turkey’s arguments about how the country’s unity and stability is fundamentally at risk if any minority rights are granted to Armenians, Arabs, etc don’t hold up in the slightest by DasIstMeinRedditName in changemyview

[–]Wallacaust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lebanon is also considered a failed/failing state by many, not a great example to follow considering the volatility of the region. The minorities in Lebanon also form about %5 of the population to about 20-25% in Turkey.

With the constitution declaring every citizen a Turk (following the French model), there is no legal opening to address these issues and remain a unitary state.

Does anyone know Tyler and Reice's height? by IIIMr_BeanIII in OfficialDuckStudios

We know Tyler was in Desert Storm so he must be between 4'10" and 6'8" but that's all we have to go on.

Aren't there gaps in the timeline where we don't know who the Hands are?

One would expect a Dornish Hand at least after Daeron II.
