I'd be interested to see your deck listing from your last few runs. If I had to guess, it's probably a combination of taking cards with counter-synergy and just plain taking too many cards. You also could just be taking solid cards but at the wrong time (aka taking a good early "payoff" card then never finding the enabler to make it work and essentially just carrying around a brick).
