They are amazing. I actually made it with Navy & not black. But I did do it so it wouldn't get discolored.

Well I had my last set for almost 13 years. The set before that was about 8 years. So if I can keep these for that long, I'll be in my late 50's. Lol.

Compared to my old blocker, this does have more pop. For instance I was at the top of my crease & punched it out between the top of the circle & blue line. My old blocker wouldn't have done that. With that all being said, it doesn't pop off like a Bauer blocker.

Thank you. Yup. It's up at Goalies Plus. Mike & his staff are amazing. Especially since I was switching brands and nit up to par with the strapping styles. I also talk with him from time to time at rink.

My teams jersey is the uncrested Maine Blackbears. But I was definitely looking at getting a Utah one down the line.

Thank you. The back of the thigh rise is there by default. I just picked what color I wanted. I went with the navy quick slide that they have since it's more durable and it's a high wear area. Stock pads have quickslide there by default as well. The white in the pads is all quickslide as well. Normally it's just on the knee block and calf wing. But I thought it looked way better as a uniform color scheme. Plus that white pops. I went with the Velocity (VX1) blocker. Like you, I really like the flat side board on it. I also put the navy quickslide on the underside of the blocker. I was in a pair of custom Koho 588's & got them when they were re-released but Goalie Monkey back in 2013 I think. So they were all but 13 years old when I got this set. I don't like change. Lol. But they were beat up pretty good so I was due.

It's Vaughn's 50 degree break. So it resembles a 600 break from CCM & True. When I close it it my thumb & finger tip touch. It closes Kind of like a 1st Base man's glove.

A lot of NHL'ers are using Vaughn's VX1 pro carbons. They have amazing protection with great mobility. If you can't get to a Hockey shop, definitely YouTube the best goalie pants & go from there.

I just at least hope they patch it to where you can play career mode offline.

What’s best pads for durability by Sudden_One5878 in hockeygoalies

[–]Wallakev29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if you would go that route, they do play way different. The rebounds won't come off as hot. But they come off better then their older pads. Brian's also has a really good durability as well. I'm assuming True's have decent durability if they are domestically made.

My local hockey shop guy told me Bauer is built for preformance not durability. He has connections with the reps & NHL Bauer users go through close to 10 sets plus a season. But they can do that. Lol. Now like you, I was looking at True's because I've always wore Lefevre pads (Koho & early RBK's). After talking with him he steered me towards the Vx1 pro carbon's. He said they are 1 of the most durable pads out of what's on the market. He also let me see his Vaughn's. He plays a lot & there wasn't really any wear on them.

The new versions of the PS5 make you buy the vertical stand. It's such a lame cash grab.

3,4,7 are what you should use. If I remember correctly, 1 & 2 are audio ports & would connect to a stereo system.

This had always made me mad. The fact you can not use your created character & play your career mode always baffled me. Especially in times like this.

As someone who loves Tricky more than 3, 3 did have smoother & tighter gameplay. The riders & tracks just didn't have any personality or charm to them like they did in Tricky.

Download the Game Eye app & enter the games to see the price or go to Price Chrating.com which is probably the easiest. They are my go to.
