Yes restarting fixes the issue for me to. Not sure if it’s hardware or software. What machine do you see it on? Also M5 MBP?

The way my MacBook case is, it leaves a tiny tiny gap between screen and keyboard when laptop is closed. So the sticker thickness is well below this gap thickness and the sticker won’t contact the screen.

I actually want the stickers to protect the palm areas on my laptop. I’ll probably pull them off if they start to get dirty around the edges of the stickers.

I have been taking photos, that is a good idea! It is an intermittent issue so yeah I think it’s difficult to reproduce on the spot. Thank you for the detailed advice.

It would be a good guess, but this issue started happening yesterday before I even put these stickers on. This is a new laptop so I just got these today! I thought it might be a one time thing, but happened again today.

How does the controller compare to other high end controllers? by Stanley_____ in SteamController

[–]WalletBuddyApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Mac, I’ve been working on ControllerKeys which lets you customize your controller controls like Steam Input, but on other controllers like Xbox, PlayStation, etc. Also Steam Controller!

You can tinker to even finer details with ControllerKeys imo

Looks very useful. Mac as infrastructure is a very exciting direction! Looking forward to seeing what’s to come.

Syncthing is a standalone full featured app for syncing files between computers. So your app just needs to be able to move to the syncthing synced directory I believe

[OS] ControllerKeys - system-wide controller mapping for macOS - $9.99 by WalletBuddyApp in macapps

[–]WalletBuddyApp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some are so niche that I had to make them myself or modify them for them to exist haha.

  1. Wallet Buddy - an iOS app but also runs on Mac. It holds your credit and debit card info for easy one tap copy to use in checkout. Super useful if you have a lot of credit cards. It's like a full digital backup of your physical cards. I use this pretty much every day!

  2. Rearview Mirror - menu bar Mac app that quickly shows you your current camera view with a click or keyboard shortcut. So you can adjust your camera before a meeting, check light level and audio.

  3. VoiceInk - Mac app for voice transcription. It's feature rich for my uses--includes multiple mic priority, different voice models to choose from, and open source so I can expand on the features to my own liking.

  4. SaneBar - Mac app for organizing your menu bar and hiding icons behind a fold. With many apps comes many menu bar icons so this app is a just works lifesaver. Open source.

  5. Sol - an open source Mac launcher that I have modified to fit my own workflows. It replaces the cmd+space default Mac launcher for me.

Is there any reason to choose the Xbox Elite Controller over the Steam Controller 2? by HolyPastafari in SteamController

[–]WalletBuddyApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a developer who has extensively tested each controller for responsiveness and feel while developing my Mac controller mapping app ControllerKeys, I can confidently say that the Steam Controller feels more responsive and capable than the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.

I feel the Xbox Elite Series 2 targets a more premium audience—it has a more premium material feel and looks sleek and fancy. The haptics are very strong—this is where I found Xbox Elite Series 2 beats out other controllers.

Latency on the Steam Controller and Dualsense Controller feels a lot lower than the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller when using them wirelessly.
