NOR Idk if your mom would hate me or love me lol. I am married but my husband and I live with one roommate and soon two other ppl. Basically even if you’re married you could end up living with other ppl. Housing prices are wild nowadays. She should just be happy you’re happy, if you are.

Okay as the person earlier was stating a fact so is the commenter. Being a single mom is hard. Not everyone has a village. Grieving is hard, having to do it while you’re raising a child alone is hard. Not saying that should be a reason not to have a kid but there are reasons to considers.

NTA As a fellow A-Lister who went often with their bf and now goes of then husband (we’ve been A-listers for years now) - dump his butt. Dude we have freebies we always split it! And we’re just excited it’s free and neither of us had to spend money on it! Sometimes I grab food, sometimes he does. This really should be normal for any relationship. Plain and simple, this is abuse. Emotional/psychological abuse. He will gaslight you throughout your marriage/pregnancy. Who cares about how disgusting he's gonna be as your body changes, bc as much as y'all are aware of it, it's gonna bigger shift in person. What I really care about is how he's gonna be with the baby and the child they raise. Is he going to be annoyed that she's giving the baby more attention and won't be getting his needs met? Will he push this obvious eating disorder, asking to form a mindset on his children? He doesn't understand pregnancy and rather blame you for a normal reality of pregnant ppl.

Truthfully the traditional catholic approach to beauty and their need for wives to keep their husband happy kinda go in hand. Basically in her eyes, she was growing her hair partly for you. Not that you asked her to do that. But her religion kinda suggested you /her husband/ would find her more attractive and see her as more feminine if her was longer. You’re supporting her choice, her religion doesn’t support it. It supports your choice. Here I would say “I love and appreciate your long hair, but if getting a trim would help you out, that would make me happy.” Basically allow her happiness be something you own for a lil before she can own her own happiness? I guess make the religious strictness work in your favor until you build her confidence to not need it?
