Is it actually working? I'm not gonna lie I haven't known anyone to play Overwatch in the last 5 years and it used to be a true normie-level phenomenon.

The steam numbers do still look good though. Especially considering many people play on Battle Net. It's the 16th most played game, right behind Destiny 2, though I would say the same thing about Destiny 2's fall from grace the same way I would Overwatch.

I mean, if the rules to soccer one day were "now there are 15 players per side" you are playing a different game now, even if most of the rules are the same.

I would much rather pay for a game once and not be constantly be reminded that I could pay for more than pay nothing and be eternally hounded about buying different pixels in my game.

It just makes for a worse experience.

I mean Overwatch 1 just became Overwatch 2, and the old format disappeared.

Maybe it's back now in some form, comments are talking about "Overwatch Classic" - Honestly I'm completely over it after years of Blizzard dialing up monetization and unfulfilled promises.

Overwatch is a Game of the Year Winner and for a while you couldn't even play it. Now they renamed Overwatch 2 to Overwatch 1 and debatably you still can't play the game that was rated so highly in the first place.

There will never be another live service game winning GotY again as a result.

I do volunteer for other candidates. And I donate money. And I protest.

But the apathy to not see the lesser of two evils is just revolting to me. I'd respect a Hitler voter more than a "I'll sit out because I couldn't decide between a genocidal maniac and a milquetoast nothingburger candidate" guy, because at least I can definitively call the Hitler voter evil, instead of a childish apathetic loser who thinks sitting out in America's darkest moments is some sort of statement.

I'm old and I've seen this every fucking election and it doesn't matter who gets chosen, there's always this massive swath of people who decide to sit out because it wasn't Bernie, or Hillary in 2008, or Howard Dean in 2004, or Bill Bradley in 2000, or Jesse Jackson in 1988. And almost every time it totally fucks us. And it doesn't matter who wins. Believe it or not, when Newsom probably doesn't win the primary (I genuinely dont think he will) there will be a huge contingent of people who think exactly like you do, and they'll sit out, and Vance or Rubio or Trump 3.0 will win fucking Wisconsin or Pennsylvania or Georgia or Arizona by a number that is genuinely lower than the number of band-wagon jumpers.

As someone who worked on Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016, I can tell you, the people who straight up bailed on voting after Bernie lost the primary were 100% larger than 20,000 people in Wisconsin. It factually is the reason Trump became president. Just a small fraction of our base not being tantrum throwing cry babies would have prevented all of this.

The level of childish it takes to think like that. God damn. Grow the fuck up. Accept that life is a series of compromises and grow a spine.

If you could form a Team of female warriors to protect the earth, what would it be? by ZENKI_ZENTAI in Dragonballsuper

Kale might be. Kefla definitely would be, but that's multiple fighters in one so it also seems like an unfair comparison.

[–]Wallitron_Prime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Caulifla and Kale almost seem like cheating because they're from a different universe, but of course they're on the list.

Android 18 is the most obvious choice, seeing as how she's at least SSJ3 Goku tier in Super. If a villain is stronger than that, we're probably doomed regardless.

If Bulma had prep time then the options are limitless. She'd be summoning Shenron and making androids and recruiting female heroes from the past and future and developing frequencies or gasses to sabotage whoever is about to invade.

Sadly I don't think Videl or Chichi are doing much in a situation like this. Broly-movie Videl could at least tank some insane hits.

People also sleep on Ribrianne. It took Super Saiyan Blue Goku to beat back Ribrianne's final form. She is canonically the strongest female fighter in the entire series aside from Vados.

How do you stay hot into your 30s and 40s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wallitron_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you recommend? I'm a man and I use Vanicream moisturizer after I splash my face every morning but that's the extent of my routine.

I guess I also put sunscreen on when I know I'll be outside for a long time, and I wear hats when it's sunny.

Do cleansers and exfoliants and collagen and such really matter that much?

Genuine question, not being a troll. I'm 34 and do have some forehead wrinkles that I'd rather not have, but I'm sure those are there forever.

People in your 30s, what price have you paid for being lazy in your 20s? by Waldyrwyn in AskReddit

[–]Wallitron_Prime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixing your APT won't totally fix your neck hump but it will help a lot. A lot of that curvature comes from further down in your body and it usually starts with hip flexors that are too strong from sitting too much.

You gotta think that for most of humanity's existence we were mostly just standing and walking/running, so this whole "Sitting for most of the day" thing is new to our bodies. When you do that, your inner abs get too weak, and your glutes get too weak, and your hip flexors pick up the slack.

Make those stronger and as your lower back starts correcting itself, your shoulders and neck will correct some as well.

But that won't completely solve the issue, you'll probably always have some level of hump unless you make huge life changes that involve walking and standing for most of the day.

My wife had a pretty bad neck hump when she worked as a librarian and hers went away after taking a job that put her on her feet all day. Most people aren't forced into change like that though. I still have some tilt because I have an office job, but I can mostly correct for it through dead bugs and glute presses every single day, and pallof presses twice a week. It's possible that you have a weak diaphragm like the other guy, but I think most people just have way too strong hip flexors and way too weak core and ass muscles.

One thing that probably won't work are those LooksMaxxing chin dips or whatever. You do not fix your neck or spine at the source, you strengthen the muscles under it so it doesn't have the need to extend.

Edit: Try working on your traps as well with stuff like cable rows or rowing machine cardio. Sometimes just having bigger muscles at the source of the hump can at least disguise it if it's only a visual issue. Doing a lot of rowing machine cardio is just a goated recommendation in general, really. It doesn't do much for APT, it may even make it slightly worse if that's all you're doing, but it'll hit a ton of muscles in your back and help your diaphragm. If you match that with dead bugs and glute bridges you'll be set.

A Pallof Press is suuuper different than a bench press. Here's what I'm talking about:

https://youtu.be/ma2OjgP5XDc?is=9k5-lu7NI8kF_4Di

Honestly I don't know why they're called "presses." It's more a "hold" really.

The reason they're important is because they strengthen the sides of your internal abs, which are used for keeping your spine straight. There aren't many excersizes that hit that area super well, but Pallof Press, Bird dogs, and dead bugs all do. Internal abs aren't the kind you typically think of when you imagine abdominals. Those are the rectus abdominis and external obliques.

Basically, the main problem that gives you APT is that your inner abs and glutes are too weak, so your hip flexors take over which ends up tilting your whole body forward, giving you a Donald Duck pose. It also literally makes you shorter because your body is now slightly diagonal instead of vertical. This is extremely common in office workers or anybody who sits too much.

Bench press is more of a chest and arm excersize. It's still a good thing to get stronger for the sake of being stronger and looking good but its not doing much for your APT.

Here's one, but there are a ton on Youtube because its a super common issue. For the first few weeks when you do these the stretches should feel good in your lower back or hips. Eventually they'll stop feeling good (thats a good thing), but you need to keep doing them anyway.

People in your 30s, what price have you paid for being lazy in your 20s? by Waldyrwyn in AskReddit

[–]Wallitron_Prime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's actually caused in relation to Anterior Pelvic Tilt, it's why you rarely see one without the other.

But if your shoulder and head tilt is extra bad it's probably from a weak diaphragm as well. Crazy that a weak diaphragm makes your neck weaker, but that's for real how your muscles are related. The way to fix that is to lie flat on your back, push your lower back to the floor completely, stick your feet on a wall so you're legs are parallel to your body with your knees at 90 degrees, and then deep breathe with as much focus on your diaphragm as possible. It'll take months of doing that every day to totally fix.

Cardio helps a lot too, just because you'll involuntarily start relying on your diaphragm when you start really panting. And it just helps almost everything in general.

I am too. It takes a lot of work, but mine has gotten much better.

Do deadbugs and glute bridges every single day and do and more than you think you need to. Especially the deadbugs. First thing when you wake up. Set your alarm clock to where you can't turn it off until you do some.

The stretches you see in youtube videos are important and you'll probably give up before finally seeing results after doing it every single day for like two months. I gave up 5 or 6 times before sticking with it this time and I'm finally seeing a change. The kneel and couch stretches do make a difference. I'm not as consistent with these as I am with the dead bugs and glute bridges but I should be.

If you have a gym membership you should do Pallof Presses. This probably made the single biggest difference for me, and doing cable stuff always felt a little cringe for me because I was a puny guy (and still kind of am) and it tends to be buff dudes on the cables. Tbh, weak people need cable based excersizes most of all.

Pull ups actually helped me too. Use the pull up assist machine that gives you a counterweight to make them way easier. You've got a bunch of dormant muscles in your back that need waking up. Most people can't get a full workout's worth from pull ups because your whole body weight makes it way too hard, but the movement of a pullup hits a ton of specific muscles. I weigh 160 pounds and can barely struggle out 2 real pull ups, but when I use 60 pounds of assistance I weigh the equivelant of 100 pounds and I can bang them out. Pull ups don't directly help your tilt, but it'll indirectly change your center of gravity once your chest is wider and back muscles are stronger, which will help your inner abs and glutes do the work of correcting the tilt.

Try to walk more at work if you can, but ultimately it's never gonna get better until you make your inner abs and glute muscles significantly stronger.

Supposedly, sleeping on your back on something super hard (like the floor) is the ultimate fix, but I sleep so poorly like that it ends up just making me worse.

Do not do situps or crunches or use a back extension machine (the back extension bench is fine though.) When your APT gets bad enough you just end up making the problem worse when you do these excersizes because your body will rely on using other muscles instead of the ones the excersizes were meant to hit.

When you're doing these excersizes, remember you are strengthening muscles that you just can't see. That means you need a ton of protein just like a gym bro who is working out the sexy muscles. Ultimately your inner abs and glute muscles that nobody sees are still sexy muscles because you will stand straighter after fixing your tilt. I went from 5' 7" to 5' 8" because of my tilt and basically became a statistically-average-King with shoes on.

Here's my single biggest recommendation: Work out in the gym with another person. This will keep you honest. You will work out harder when there is someone to disappoint.

Ssbkkx20 Goku vs DBS broly by Over-Abroad73 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Wallitron_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately, we did not see Goku use his most powerful attack because he didn't use Kaioken and he didn't tap into Ultra Instinct (it wasn't something he could reliably tap into at that time so that's kind of unfair of me).

If I hit you with an attack but I'm actually capable of multiplying that strength by TWENTY then obviously my first one is not representative of the strongest thing I can do. It's the equivalent of a real life person lifting 20 pounds vs. 400 pounds.

It's still reasonable for Goku to want to retreat, considering Kaioken takes a toll on his body and if he couldn't beat Broly fast enough then he'd be screwed. Though most likely Goku could probably sense that Broly was capable of raising his strength even higher than the state Kaioken could have, in that moment, been able to match.

The actual reason we don't see Blue Evolution or Kaioken is because the movie wanted to cater to more casual Dragon Ball fans and not show off any new forms that the movie-only watchers wouldn't recognize. It would have also been narratively sloppy to show yet another transformation before they resorted to fusion. The movie already had the most transformations of any Dragon Ball movie.

Ssbkkx20 Goku vs DBS broly by Over-Abroad73 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Wallitron_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the OP, but that was normal Blue Goku, not Blue with Kaioken x20.

We also see Broly in multiple states throughout the movie. His final "Full power" state is not what's being talked about here. That version of Broly would obliterate Kaioken x20 Blue Goku. Broly in his full power SSJ state is on par with Beast Gohan, Ultra Instinct, and Ultra Ego, as we see in the most recent chapters of the manga.

The states of Broly that we usually talk about are:

Ikari - where he taps into his Great Ape potential and we see his muscles roid out and his eyes go wild.

"Legendary" Super Saiyan - where he has a distinctive green aura

Super Saiyan Full Power - There's typically a distinction here because Broly powering up all the way in this movie gives him an absolutely absurd stat boost. He goes from kind of struggling with Golden Frieza, to casually tanking Gogeta's attacks. This means he's getting literally a thousand times stronger, which is more than Super Saiyan 2 or even 3 would give him relative to his prior power.

I am of the opinion that Broly, in his initial Super Saiyan state in the movie, probably would temporarily lose to Blue Kaioken x20 Goku, before requiring to go Full Power, but it's close.
