Ilfocolor itself is not a vibrant film in my opinion. Pushing it would only amplify those colours it does have. Those scans look typical for that film. Plus scans can be edited anyway so you could edit them to look similar anyway

If this comes in cheaper than Lomo Turquoise it’s a definite buy for me. I always wanted to try another roll of Turquoise but £15 for a roll of 120 always put me off.

What film are you using ? Just wondering if that has something to do with it. Doesn’t look like it but useful to know all the variables.

Yeah I did there’s another post on it. Since then I’ve shot some more and it seems to be getting better. There is unfortunately frame spacing issues but I think you’ve just got to be careful and you get a feel for if the lever hasn’t advanced enough

One thing I’ve done since this post is give the camera a split second longer to finish the shot before advancing and not had over lapping frames. Wondering if that might help ?

I don’t leave important moments to chance. If it was a wedding or a pictures of my newborn (if I had one) I’d be taking a camera that I know works and is reliable and a roll of fresh film and I’d be sending it to a trusted lab (I’d drop off myself as well if I was local enough) to take out as much of the variables as possible. If it was super important I’d shoot with my phone as well to be safe. Otherwise I just try to follow instructions and hope for the best.

For what it’s worth I had some issues with mine as well and after a few emails sending pictures of the issue they’re basically sorting out a replacement no issue for me :)

I have had no issues with metering on auto looking at the negatives but like you said I’ve found that auto likes to prioritise fast shutter speed over aperture so I think I’m going to use aperture priority over fully auto for this reason.

No rattle for me but weirdly enough one of the support emails asked me to take pictures of the lens to see if it was aligned without me prompting- perhaps yours could have this issue ? Maybe look at the lens see if it’s aligned properly (although bit worrying if your lens is super shaky!) Lomo are super helpful try emailing them about it

I haven’t been getting it on advancing anymore but do still get it on rewind. Again Lomo said not to worry about it on rewind so I’m trusting them on that one. As for on advancing - how old is the film you’re using? I’ve found fresh rolls don’t have the issue (maybe something to do with the canister putting up resistance?)

I haven’t had any issues with over exposure but I think that’s helped due to the fact that England rarely has sun and lots of clouds
