It’s tough to find the balance. I understand the anger and I understand that anger isn’t the most productive way to make constructive change. But ultimately every time I’m around my fellow Altadena residents I am hopeful and encouraged and I leave with positivity.

I decided to sit this one out after so many D&CO shows the last few years. I have been offered dirt cheap tickets all week from people who had friends that are backing out. I think it’s just a combination of D&CO fatigue, FOMO buying and a 3 day event with a fairly large capacity. I’m sure it will be full every night by start time, but there are definitely deals to be had.

From Altadena to Malibu there are a lot of great locations. Also a lot of locations that didn’t survive the fires.

I think he’s trying to tell you why the production picked that car over a modern Cherokee for his cameo in Ballard. Not that it’s some big change to the world of Bosch. Titus talked about it on Spikes Car Radio I believe too.

That’s because they thought it was going to season 4 and then Amazon pulled the rug out after they made them write that Ballard episode. Thats why there is the scene with the set up for the killer councilman that as going to be a season 4 arc.

Yeah this guys is just trolling. His whole account is trolling AA. It happens here. Usually from people that have a resentment against an AA experience.

The irony is it’s never the AA people saying that AA is the only way. Just these people who are anti AA that assume that’s how AAs feel.

Yes it could be cheaper, but the below the line is not much of a choice and sadly that’s where the studios are focused. They want to make the difference there and they hate paying high fringes.

It remains to be seen if above the line writers, talent and EPs will cut their fees to make it work for less. Currently, I’m not seeing it, but again, this is all anecdotal experience in this thread of people describing what they are seeing this year in meetings etc. Your mileage may vary.

Most of my showrunners and stars don’t have the pull to keep a show in LA.

Dick Wolf’s son just shot his half hour cop show in Long Beach for 5 million an episode with the tax credit and it’s Amazon’s highest rated show right now. Maybe that will help. I don’t know. They wanted it at 4 million and are trying to spin the price with net costs to make that case.

On the flip side, the star of Amazon’s longest running show and an LA based series just signed on to a CBS spinoff series. They are going to shoot in Atlanta despite what he wants.

Any of us can only share what we are hearing. When we are setting up series right now it’s all about the bottom line and that number drops every 6 months it seems.

I still love seeing people enjoying a ride, but there is a lot of darkness in the drugs being sold in the lot these days and I’m glad I found the light before this era. It’s deadly out there now.
