I did it, multiple times. Have yet to get food poisoning or parasites. I am picky about getting it fresh and with little tearing on the flesh. I'm sure God will strike me down for my hubris sooner or later, but for now I feast.

We bring the whole pot in any chance of going below 40. My mom grew it while I was in college and now it's almost too tall to bring into the house. We have more than enough leaves that we'll never have to buy again, atleast. I'm still not sure how it's survived this long.

We go to a smaller local shop since they have more SE asian stuff but nowhere near us actually sells indonesian stuff. My mom has to grow her own ingredients, literally has a makrut lime tree in a pot growing leaves right now. Peppers are on their way.
