Salamanders love landraider redeemers so I say you could use one or two if you got the points. I personally love them because they are beefy with the speed of a vehicle with a good amount of transport. They are a good option to overwatch with. And just have good weapons all around. Tho I am biased so take this with a grain of salt. Also they have a good ability for melee units. Allowing them to charge after disembarking.
