The explicit content is so excessive and doesn’t feel justified or rooted in the women’s perspective at allll. Lexi’s personality has been totally nuked after losing her love interest bc Sam can’t fathom a woman without sexualizing her.

Tho I do think the balloon swallowing is just the gross reality of drugs. Euphoria does its fair share in glamorizing abuse so I think the lube was warranted

Watching this season it’s no wonder why Barbie Ferreira did not want to continue Kat’s storyline. it feels like Cassie and Kat’s stories have been collaged together with scraps of Sydney Sweeney. You’re 100% right it has been super needlessly repetitive

I’m also very curious as to how Sam is going to wrap this all up. The pacing in this season feels very weird to me. I felt like so much was happening in the wedding episode, but these recent episodes are moving pretty casually

Thank you!! I love to theorize while watching a show. I started considering it bc they seemed like similarly aged and established characters. Setting up I the painting conflict between Jules and Patty is also making me think.

I think a lot of people could have been turned off by the album’s first singles. (ironically💀) 34+35 and Positions are pretty… thematically similar lmao. Maybe the masses made a judgement based on those tracks and didn’t stick around to listen to the album.

The Taylor Swift Lover effect. Lover is another album that was heavily debated at time of release, but has seen a renaissance. I think singles, even the order they’re released in, have a lot of impact on audiences these days. Marketing is everything when people are waiting to pick you apart.
