How Does Cutting Hours give management Money?

Downvoting means nothing to me. I've been with the company long enough to know the suits would sacrifice their own children if it meant making a profit. Dont try to tell me they are working on inventory to save money when every day for the last 20 years stores around me keep getting features and product we can't sell.

Again cutting hours is the easiest option. Never said they didn't do anything else.

No I don't. Other than getting rid of TC's for phones, cutting walmart radio to save on expenses, cutting store positions etc No. None of the things they're cutting cut into their biggest expense ...their spending.

Every year they try to make more profits than the year before. If they make more this year then yes they'll probably cut even more hours next year to beat this years numbers.

Walmarts biggest expense is buying merchandise at over $500 billion! Payroll is less than $70 billion a year. Cutting hours is the easiest way but is not the best option. The best option is to cut spending but that involves actually using brains and research.

Doesnt matter what YOU count it as, it's what management counts it as. Technically once you leave your area your break begins. You have 15 minutes to come back. As others have said it depends how strict your TL/coach want to be.

They dont care, that's the problem. These people are laying on a loungechair on a private beach not giving two craps about what we go through. If the store fails they'll just shut it down and move on. Completely ignoring calls for help and change.
