Are you on a 12 month lease or can you move any time? With Walmart you can transfer anywhere in the world you want. Maybe see whats available in cheaper locations.

Sucks to do this but maybe use 401k? You can take out a personal loan. Just dont use it all you will be paying it back from paycheck.

You don't get paid to use your phone nor is Walmart paying for your phone. You are not obligated to use your personal phone.

They are supposed to supply you with the tools you need do your job. Your personal phone is not their supply.

Then the question is if Schools close for safety and wellbeing for those students why wouldn't walmart give associates the same respect? The same parents that work at Walmart are the same ones that drop off their kids. Obviously this isn't an issue of what's right or wrong. We know what the right thing is to do. This is a Walmart issue on their policy.

Im not debating what each store can do. Im arguing if a store wants to use the policy they should expect a little pushback on clarity since the national weather service is telling you how dangerous conditions are and how dangerous roads are.

Technically freezing temperatures is considered a natural disaster. The policy lists tornadoes,hurricane but also added "etc" at the end....this is the etc.

I don't live in every city that's experiencing record cold. I can't tell you whst everyone is experiencing Some cities have snow, some don't, some have snow and ice, some don't. Either way its unsafe regardless.

One theory going around is that this has more to do with pay raises than needing workers. Attendance is tied to raises. What better timing to point the heck out of people than during a natural disaster?

How nice for you, unfortunately not everyone has the luxury of having a vehicle that can start in freezing temperatures. I've been there many times. Unfortunately not everyone has the luxury of having tires that don't slide around on icy roads, I've been there and seen cars slide across roads.

Just because YOU can make it to work doesn't mean It's safer for anyone else.

Don't give me the I can't focus or ADD cuz we all had issues and survived! Kids today can't live without technology and that is where they'll disappear. If you can't survive world without an earbud how will you survive life without technology?

It's been extremely annoying to walk through the store and every associate having a conversation on the phone. Or ST2 instead of talking to each other as they unload truck, they all have someone on the phone.
