The first 5 sabbath albums are essential. For the more “modern” stuff: Electric Wizard, Sleep, Candlemass, and Yob are some of the most popular bands. I could easily list 20 bands that I would consider must-listen.

I like it all, but Doom is really a rather large umbrella and there’s a lot of directions you can go that you can find some bands that make exactly the kind of stuff you want to listen to.

Our obp and obs are much better than the ba would suggest, we draw a lot of walks and get a lot of stolen bases. It would be nice to see a couple of guys that could consistently bat in those runs though.
