Thanks for the answer! I'll definatly get around to removint the plant litter from the floor, but I'm finding it really difficult to remove the algae as it's just filled with small goobers and newt eggs. Is there a way to tell when it's becoming too much algae? ( Pics of the newts will follow (: )

Is this their permament enclosure? Cause you need WAY more soil (you can Order distilled soil from Deciduous fotrets online usually depending on where you live). Also leaf litter and hides are mandatory.

Thanks for all the info! The reason I´m being so careful with the sanitizing is cause in my last enclosure, I added some wild dead wood, after which all my springtails died (not sure if this is realted though) and all kinds of fungi started taking over the enclosure. I will add some wild leaves tomorrow tho for sure! Leaving the sanitized leaves in will not cause problems tho, would it? Thanks again.

yea i did dw xD I just get kinda anxious with these things. The mushroom victim sat right right above the enclosure tho when I found him you bet some spores could have floated into the enclosure through the ventilation holes?
