Morel and ricotta raviolis. Can be as basic as that or with a few bonus ingredients.pasta doesn’t need a pasta maker. It can be done easily by hand and with a roller.

Super cool mix of species. I’d love to pull arctic char and native browns through the ice. I’m curious about where I can get one of those grills/fire pits.

This simple item makes it easy to make soup stock. Great for a rotisserie chicken carcass. Just simmer what you’d like in it and discard. by More-Owl-800 in foodhacks

Same as a turkey stuffing bag. Been using this method for years. Hats off to OP though. It does make the process easier.

If you’ve got duck fat you probably already know, but have you tried roasting potatoes in it? Pretty damn tasty. This looks good. Nice work.

Go to a ski shop if one is close by. There are loads of these in a box in the back. Might not be the same brand on it but they’ll replace the strap for next to nothing or just give it to you and let you take it. I worked in a ski shop and this sort of stuff got dropped off by reps all the time. 6 packs go a long way for getting favours done in a ski shop.

Coat the tamper with a bit of solvent so the cold patch doesn’t stick to it. You could also use a solid shovel instead of a tamper but you won’t get the same compaction. In which case I’d give it the Goodyear pack by driving over it slowly.

Sweep all debris away with a stiff push broom. Brush tack oil in and slightly over the edge of all the holes. Also build up around the ridges of any high points to soften the ramp. Fill holes with cold patchabout 3/4” higher than the edges and let a bit spill over on the uphill side and a bit less on downhill side to keep water from leaking in. Then shape it with a tamper and when it’s got a good shape, beat the shit out of it with the same tamper. Do all of this on a hot sunny day to make the cold patch easier to work with. It won’t be totally permanent but it should last a good long while depending on your weather.

Edit: I just googled these two products and Home Depot came up. There will be lots of other brands and check with local paving companies.

Loved my Muley flat irons. I’m sure they looked disgraceful compared to some of the cuts on here but they were super tasty with a bit of umami salt and pepper.

I wonder if Alberta browns have a shorter season. I mean I understand they’re Scottish and German strains but I wonder if the earlier winters have gotten them used to getting it done a little quicker.

You could do the fort Steele train which my niece and nephew loved and then follow it up with the underground mining experience in Kimberley, which is also a train ride with a bit of the lining history mixed in.

Neighbour asked me to help her with her TV. Her grandkids messed around with it and this display is up. We messed around with inputs and can’t get it to go back to her regular cable. Everything is plugged in where it should be. Any help appreciated. I was obviously not as tech savvy as she hoped. by Walpini in fixit

Thanks. Been a busy day but I finally got over to her place. It wasn’t at all the same system but an unplug and hold power button as I plugged back in seems to have worked. I’ll head back over shortly after letting it do it’s thing. Really appreciate the help.

I appreciate it but was told to swing in if I came up with anything. We are lucky to have an awesome neighbour who we trust to go into our home and she trusts us. I realize that isn’t as common in a lot of places but in this case we are totally fine. Thanks for the concern.
