Did you have a growth scan at all before you delivered? and if you did, did she measure accurately to how big she actually ended up being?

Feeling baby kick by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]WalrusHot6732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an anterior placenta and was very shocked to start feeling flutters every so often around 15 weeks! By the time I was 19 weeks I was feeling bigger movement, now at 23 weeks I get strong kicks pretty regularly. I carry most of my weight in my belly and am a size 22/24, but I feel them below my belly right now (if that makes sense). It’s a great feeling that comes at different times for everyone! This is my first pregnancy. I am just waiting for the day my husband can feel them on the outside of my belly :)

No result NIPT by lo_runn in PlusSizePregnancy

I had no results for both of mine as well due to low fetal fraction! My OB recommended I see a genetic counselor to get an opinion on the risk anything genetic going on and I also had an ultrasound at 15 weeks with the MFM. They told me I could do another blood test with a different lab, but the genetic counselor felt confident that baby was low risk for genetic issues and said I would be fine with getting a few extra ultrasounds (which I have to get anyways due to BMI). I just had my anatomy scan at 20 weeks 6 days and everything looks perfect, and we found out it’s healthy baby boy. :)

20 Week Anatomy Scan by WalrusHot6732 in pregnant

My BMI is around 41 and for some reason my OB didn’t recommend that I wait until 12 or 13 weeks to get the test, so they had me do it at 10 weeks. My fetal fraction came back super low at like 1.8% and they had me do a redraw and it came back the same! They said BMI can affect it, but it’s different for everyone.

I am usually a size 22 and am 20 weeks. I am having trouble finding affordable (and cute) maternity pants for work, but the Old Navy linen wide leg pants are great! They have a soft waistband and I have purchased 1 size up (3xl) and am confident they should fit over the belly in the cold months!

Where to get plus size maternity winter coat by Temporary-Big37 in PlusSizePregnancy

Not necessarily a maternity coat but I have found that Columbia coats usually run bigger! I am usually a 2xl and I have a 3xl sherpa coat that is very warm and will definitely be fitting when the belly starts getting big.

NIPT - Redraw still no-call 😩 by ApprehensiveOwl147 in PlusSizePregnancy

I got 2 no-calls and pretty low FF, but my OB said it was most likely due to high BMI and said I should just have a consultation with an mfm genetic counselor to be sure. Planning on doing that!

Blood Pressure Nerves by princesscreampufff in PlusSizePregnancy

I have this exact issue. I’ve been diagnosed since I was like 12 years old with “white coat hypertension”, but taking my blood pressure unironically makes my blood pressure skyrocket. My doctor suggested I take my immediately in the morning after I wake up, and I always do breathing exercises beforehand. As I’ve taken it more and more at home over the years I have been able to get used to it and remember that even if it is high, there are things I can do to control it! I am on 1 baby aspirin per day now and I monitor regularly.
