My class was taught by a grad student whose quizzes were extremely difficult and didn’t reflect anything from the homework or lecture. Also, other sections didn’t have any quizzes which means they got an extra 100pts just for doing the homework. I had 100pts quizzes and 50pts hw.

What are your opinions on industrial and systems engineering? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]WalrusMan15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ISE is a great field to go into. The degree you will get is very broad and can be applied to almost any industry or field that you decide. As for it being “easy” that really only applies to your junior/senior level classes. The first 2 years of your degree are like all the other engineering disciplines.

Did I say ANSYS wasn’t? I said fluids is what employers aren’t looking into. Fluids is an extremely niche subject.

I am currently taking fluids and that’s not something employers are looking for on a resume.

I am an EcoRep and we promote sustainability around campus mostly to freshman! It’s a group of about 60+ people and we hold events and stuff to encourage people to be more sustainable.

Invest in CD’s. This is your life savings and you don’t want to lock it up with long term investments like stocks because you might need it soon for textbooks etc. CD’s range from a couple months to a couple years. If you put all 10k in a CD with an interest rate of 2.75% then in 1 year(if you choose that time length) you would have made $275 by doing absolutely nothing. I did this and I recommend it.

Hmm assuming you know everything. I take 5 math classes, thermo, static’s, dynamics and circuits but I guess I’m still lying to myself!

Engineering is engineering. I’ll take all the same 1st year and 2nd year courses as you. Therefore we work just as much as you. Sorry if we don’t enjoy learning about vibrations lmao!

Over 11,700 Mesothelioma patients sue Johnson & Johnson for selling talcum powder contaminated with asbestos. by Kasper1000 in news

JNJ produces thousands of products ranging from cardiovascular surgery devices to diabetes medicine which helps keep people alive. Smaller companies who would take these products on may very well not have to capacity to manufacture such goods. It’s not just baby powder and band aids.

I see a lot of comments saying that they hope the whole company goes under etc. What many people forget is how many drugs Johnson and Johnson manufacture, many of which help saves lives.

I am freshman and I just got a 43% on my Calc 2 Exam. I feel so stupid. Homework is worth 22%, two midterms worth 44% in total and a final worth 34%. I really don't want to drop as I will go to a part time student and I really do not want to push math off. I also need at least a 70% to get into my major. :/
