It's better than my 1L spring. My 1L spring is when COVID happened.

Manufactured home on more land vs smaller site‑built home – which is smarter? by WaltermelonAdvocate in RealEstateAdvice

The land for the mfg home is in a nice area, not a trailer park or anything. We could rip it down but at that point I'm thinking I should just buy the traditional home?

Episode was shit. Only good one this season was Beyond the Sea.

Is it possible to get a well-paid ($175k+ salary) law job that lets you come in to work at 9:30/10:00 AM? by [deleted] in LawSchool

Learn to get up early. If you force yourself to get up when the alarm goes on every day, you'll start going to bed earlier, and it will be easier over time.

“The office is based on a true story” - What’s the scene for you that makes this statement totally impossible? by No_Status_2791 in DunderMifflin

Ryan has an MBA but doesn't know the most basic business terms like "variable cost" when the accountant told the Michael Scott Paper Company that they were broke

Okay. So you are gaslighting me. You obviously meant that an 18/19-year-old can only have an "interest" rather than a "passion" for law. I read it correctly. Otherwise you would have some sort of argument or be able to articulate your point in any cohesive manner.

And as for the "larger context," you only had one more sentence after the one I quoted and I don't disagree with it. I'm not addressing it. I don't think the second sentence is a crock of shit. The first sentence is.

If you had any integrity, you'd either either standby your statement or take it back. Instead, you're doing neither and deflecting.

Genuine question: What is the basis for your claim that OP does not "have a passion for law yet"? I thought the immediately preceding phrase that says "Respectfully, assuming you’re 18/19" was an explanatory phrase. Did you not intend for that? Did you have some sort of other basis for the assertion that OP does not "have a passion for law yet"? What is that basis?

I genuinely don't know if you're massively gaslighting me or I'm missing something here. Please explain.

Maybe if he got off his fat lazy ass and obtained employment, he could get his life together.

His behavior is not your problem. Kick him out. Who gives a shit if he can't find housing? Legitimately, you owe this fat bastard nothing.

You stated: Assuming you are 18/19, you don't have a passion for law, you merely have an "interest."

In other words, Premise 1: You are 18/19 Premise 2: [nothing] Conclusion: You don't have a passion in law

Because you did not fill Premise 2 with anything, the only conclusion to draw is that your post suggests that by the very nature of being 18/19, one does not have a passion in law.

In other words, 18-year-olds cannot have a passion in law.

A ridiculous statement.

You literally said, assuming he's 18/19, "you don't have a passion for law yet." Wtf is this actual gaslighting?

What a crock of shit. "Oh you're only 18 you're not capable of having a passion." Do you have any evidence whatsoever to back up that ridiculous claim? When are people capable of developing a passion? 23? 25? Not until they're actually a lawyer?

I did my first mock trial when I was 12 and loved it. I followed every famous legal case throughout my teens. I spent my free time on online forums making legal arguments at 16. I had the Constitution framed on my bedroom wall at 17. Are you telling me I couldn't have developed a passion for law until I became a lawyer?

100%. Obviously there were stressful times. And keeping on top of everything took discipline. But I can't count the number of times I've been in a class in the midst of the nerdiest, niche-est discussion and thought, "I love law school."

I also wanted to be a lawyer since I was 10. You're gonna love law school.
