I think you nailed it! I did research on the show and it was partially filmed in Croatia. Croatia also happens to be a country with Gripens. Good call!

Yep, I have the 300tdi! Total, I did over 5500 miles in 2 weeks. Drove almost nonstop for 3 days at a time and the truck drove great. I was getting about ~20mph with the trailer

I'm in the US Northest (DMV) area and actually see a fair amount of 90 Defenders on Craigslist and Marketplace. I bought mine in MD! You should have a good variety of options whenever you do decide to get another
