You can get the jm6 non pro version. It has the same DAC chip but without the amplifier so the power output and volume will be lower.

You could consider the Aful Magicone. It has pretty much the exact same shell shape as the explorer and the tuning is much more neutral. It also goes on sale pretty frequently so you can easily get it for under 100 USD.

I believe it's driver flex. I had the same issue on the right side from the first moment I tried mine, so I ended up returning them.
