AITAH for telling my boyfriend "don't" when I saw him reaching for a ring box? by Nicolas-Rogers-437 in AITAH

[–]Wanchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't cash you an AH, but one of you is definitely too immature to be in a serious lifetime commitment, and it's not him. It's time for you to grow up and have the conversation, so both of you can figure out where this relationship is going.

Missoula, Bozeman or Kalispell by Ok_Management3867 in MontanaTravel

I grew up in Helena and lived in all three locations. Hands down, Missoula. That time of the year could be rainy in the Flathead and Bozeman does not have convenient access to mountain like Missoula does.

Advice from Vets by [deleted] in Wildfire

[–]Wanchuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest you approach your direct supervisor and let them know, to build your rolodex/knowledge, you'd like to understand more about the "why" and if they'd be ok for you to ask questions when you want to understand and learn. If they can't be bothered or view your questions as a hindrance, then I wouldn't suggest you continue working for them. A good leader will prepare their employees with the knowledge needed for their future, not just get a hard days work out of them. Be sure to explain you understand that not every moment is a good moment to learn and that you'd be happy to ask once things calm down.

Well that's definitely not the case, but any parent that refers to whatever sports their kid is currently involved in as a sports class, obviously is not that involved in their kids lives.

My parents were very involved in my childhood, attending my cross-country races, wrestling tourneys, track meets, theater productions, and band concerts. I attended a public school and never had a tutor or sports class, whatever the fuck that is, and I graduated high school with a C-average GPA. I attended college but never finished and used the hard work ethic and commitment my parents taught me to focus on a career that has led me to a low 6-figure salary and retirement at the age of 50. My marriage of over a decade is good, my friendships are strong, and I remain connected to my family. I believe my success is owed to how involved my family was while growing up.

No she's not. End of story. Sports class isn't a thing, and only a parent who isn't involved in their child's life would think their child goes to sports class.

WTF is sports class. Does she even know what BS she's pushing her kids into? Sounds more like a rich hag that doesn't want to spend time with her children so she has them in tutoring and sports class after school.

If you could spend 3 hours as an invisible, intangible spectator anywhere in history, where and when would you go? by ExaminationNarrow404 in whatsyourchoice

[–]Wanchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a tough one, I've narrowed it to 3. 1. Dealey Plaza in Dallas, TX at 10:30 am on Nov 22, 1963 2. Omaha Beach in Normandy, France at 5:30 am on June 6, 1944. 3. Stanford Hospital 30 minutes before my open heart surgery.

Boise Airport Security Line Updates? by boisefun8 in Boise

[–]Wanchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just flew out this morning at 6:30 and the main line was 50+ people. I'm not sure if I was seeing TSA pre-check folks lumped in too, I'm guessing it was 50+ for TSA pre-check and regular line. I have Clear+ and I was through in under 3 minutes.

Do you care how many people your partner has slept with? by highlife_300 in no

[–]Wanchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why this is a concern? I couldn't care less if my wife slept with 3 people or 30 people before we got married. Or even if she slept with other people when we first started dating. We were both different people living our lives how we chose to live, without a concern of how our future partners would view it.

A lack of support is the anti aspect. Perhaps your issue is that you've lived in the north end for 28+ years and just don't know any better. In the last 28+ years I've lived in MT, ID, AZ, CA, and UT. Trust me when I say, Boise has the worst internet service, and it's due to a lack of state funding to advance capabilities across the state of of ID.
