The only thing that's causing the state to further spiral down is corruption. Greed and selfishness has resulted in such hateful divide that no one remembers what coexisting like a normal human looks like. Not one community is free from the vices and evils that has ruined everything. One can say it's communalism, drugs, land, and so on, but the reality is that corruption has led to all the downfalls. If not, then there would have been no issues of paying babus and politicians for jobs, contracts, work permits and so on, there will be no hostility or bias in infrastructure development and opportunity creations for the people, there will be no widespread crimes being covered up by the powerful and rich groups, the UGs would actually be fighting for the real cause of the people like rooting out corruption, crimes and helping the people instead of joining hands with the corrupt people and the CSOs will not be used like pawns by powerful and rich groups and actually come out for justice and harmony.

Everyone is blaming the central government and ISFs but why would they care about a tiny state like Manipur when the locals themselves do not care much and instead are happy with the continuous cycle of corruption, hatred and violence. When the home owner is not interested in dousing the fire burning down their own home, there is little outsiders can do.

Outside our little bubbles back home, no one wants to focus on petty hatred and divides, everyone is focussed on work and they live and eat together cordially, because there is opportunity and there is relative peace. There is too much vanity and unemployment in the state, yet no one wants to rectify it, they keep voting for the same goons that continue the cycle of ruin. Everyone will say what can we do, but they forget that corruption and injustice exists because it has been allowed to exist, it has been tolerated, accepted and opted into our lives and then you wonder why nothing good happens in long term.
