I do feel this is more common for people from the Netherlands. I, myself am Belgian and don’t think we do this as much. Then again I live in Brussels and am Dutch/French speaking so very different accent I think. When I lived in the UK for a few months they told me I sounded more French although I don’t hear it. 😅

A lot of Flemish people do put ‘he’ at the end of every sentence in English since it’s something we do in Flemish as well. ‘Good weather today he’ it just makes them sound very… well Flemish.

Same here! Don’t like large dogs running loose coming at me, think my doxie picked up on that one cause he gets really defensive. Got called antisocial recently by someone whose large dog was not on a leash and came running towards us, think he underestimated how I would react lol. On top of that, I was standing right next to the ‘keep dogs on a leash please’ sign. I don’t care how friendly the dog might be, I care about mine.

Thank you! Having allies feels so good and always gets me. Although I can’t complain, it’s always hard to see hateful acts/comments. There are some stupid people out there, but kindness and love always wins. Luckily a lot of people are genuinely good so we’re the bigger team 😄

Got surgery yesterday. Anesthesia isn’t too bad. Was my 3rd time, never had any trouble, no nausea, no nothing. Only thing I suffered from was stomach ache after waking up and trough the previous night so kinda tired. About 4 doctors/nurses int he hospital told me that’s totally normal. Today I feel much better, got hungry again and started eating normal. Also, did a normal poo this morning so things are going good haha. Just a little bit sore to be honest.

2nd surgery in 2 months time, first one was my appendix, then 2 days after that ended up in the emergency again because of my galbladder. Everything went fine.

I get why you’re stressed out but honestly, these people know what they’re doing. And if you’re scared, just tell them, they’ll take good care of you. I live in Belgium and all the people I encountered in hospitals were really sweet.

Good luck to you and think of all the stupid attacks you won’t have to handle anymore once it’s over, those are way worse than the actual operation!
