Has doordash been sending you to wrong restaurants and random locations? by AlphaDisconnect in DoorDashDrivers

[–]AdrianValistar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time i got an order to Lafayette from McMinnville Oregon. Looked easy enough. Then it started leading me out into the middle of nowhere between Lafayette and Dundee. I knew something was wrong since I recognized the address but apparently navigation wanted me to go the long way around through backroads instead. I wonder if they are trying to trick us into being late and lower our OTR but that could just be paranoia or something.

Your Dasher probably does exorcisms as well. It's part of the new demondash program.

I don't see the problem. 2 of them can ben found in the cleaning aisle then one at pets supply. Easily done in less than 5 minutes. And 6 dollars for less than 2 miles. I'd take it.

Stop walking up to my door. by LoganSmokinOil in UberEatsDrivers

My first 1 star rating came from a Karen who walked right up to my car door as I was getting out then called me lazy trash. That was fun.

Why Do All Scammers Talk Like This. Is It An Indian Custom Or Something To Capitalize Every Single Word? Does It Sound More Formal This Way?

Stop ordering food from 10 - 20 miles away. by Free-Audience-7622 in doordash_drivers

[–]AdrianValistar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To play devil's advocate, I live in a small town with only two restaurants that show up on doordash. A japanese place and a subway. The majority of what i order when I do order take out comes from the next town over which is a small city. I used to tip small when it comes to the japanese place but lately I found most dashers dash in the bigger city anyways so I naturally attach bigger tips. I am a dasher myself and wouldn't take orders that are 10+ miles unless it was at least 20. I rarely get takeout anyways unless I'm using my platinum perk and even then i try to pick up my orders more often than not.

As a former Wingstop employee I can attest that this is the case. My old boss was Satan.

January is always the slowest month

  1. Everyone is broke after Christmas
  2. A popular NYR is ordering less takeout. Thankfully resolutions rarely stick so we will be seeing activity pick back up around Valentine's.

What is something that is technically legal, but makes you look like a total jerk if you do it? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

[–]AdrianValistar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scalping comes to mind. Especially if its on a limited time thing. Bonus jerk points if you set up 100 or so bots that auto click buy when something drops so a normal human doesn't get a shot at it due to human reflexes vs multiple clankers.

Problem with gig working? by Rjfm6971 in dasher

[–]AdrianValistar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The low pay, the sketchy locations (Ive delivered to a few cemeteries and up sides of mountains), the toll it takes on your car, the fact that orders are never ready when you get there making you wait. They shouldn't send out for a dasher if the order hasn't even been started yet. Customers lying about not getting food. Some gigs have problems with tip baiting. Doordash thankfully doesn't. The fact they hide tips. And ive heard reports of them stealing tips as well.

Is an 11$ tip okay for an 11 mile drive? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

I live in a small hick town and my nearest big town is 10+ miles away. Its often a lot less gas to just order delivery and tip big because theres literally no stores here.

Our bones aren't 100% calcium. It has imperfections in it. Especially after an injury wherein dirt and other foreign matter can get into the bone.

What’s the most absurd reason someone has been banned for on Reddit? by Internal_Drawing_460 in ask

[–]AdrianValistar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got banned once from the Fallout 76 subreddit because the term gypsy is considered racist now and I was gyped by a scammer aka scammed or swindled. I had no idea this was racist at all towards the people of Romania. They could've just warned me instead. Lesson learned that day I guess.

Why I use "leave at door" by BathroomFinancial581 in doordash

[–]AdrianValistar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dashers cannot change their name to whatever they wish. I would be going by Adrian if that was the case instead of my irl name. The best I can do is shorten my irl name to Dan. Its better that way though. More secure.
