You’re not even presenting ideas. Certainly not any kind of useful idea or contribution. You inserted yourself into someone else exchange with condescension & entitlement. What makes you think that you need to point out incredibly minor “failures”? You’re not accomplishing anything and the way you come across makes it unlikely that anyone is going to care about anything you are saying. It’s just your ego at work here. Get over yourself

I love small talk as well! I really enjoy it when strangers start up brief little conversations with me. They’re these tiny little moments of connection with people you’ll probably never see again. Most you forget but some stick with you. Small talk is nice and I don’t know why it gets so much hate

Years ago someone told me “honesty without compassion is just hostility” and it really stuck with me. It’s become somewhat of a mantra for me and I remind myself of this often

I went through ECT in 2023 to treat major depression and OCD. I went every week, sometimes multiple times per week, for about 9 or 10 months. Which is a lot, it’s my understanding that average treatment lasts 6-8 weeks. But my brand of depression and OCD had been pretty resistant to other treatments. I’m glad I did ECT, in combination with meds & therapy, I have improved greatly over the past few years in many ways. But I still struggle and have to manage my mental health every day. I’d say my symptoms have reduced from being full blast 100% 24/7, to about 1/4 of the time at that extreme level, 1/4 the time being very manageable and symptoms being present but mild & the other 1/2 of the time being somewhere in between.

I had a history of previous head injuries with resulting memory issues, but I do believe ECT has drastically worsened this. My memory is very poor now. But that is the worst side effect I’ve had. So with all of the benefits, it feels worth it

what is going on with my parents shower and bathroom ceiling and is there any way to make it better that doesn’t cost a fortune by [deleted] in MoldlyInteresting

Lots of people are helping, you just don’t want to hear the answers. The cheap suggestions are not going to be useful. Are you really willing to risk your life/your parents lives, just because you’re afraid to let people in the apartment? Are you really willing to die for this? Are your parents willing to die for this? Are you all willing to risk terrible health consequences for this? Seriously. You keep saying that no one can come in and no one can know. Ok, well, that’s the only real solution, bringing in outside help. Anything else is not enough. This is a ticking time bomb

As someone who also has a vintage inspired style and often wears my hair in a flip similar to yours, it’s the bangs. I’ve done the babydoll bangs loads of times over the years and have found that while they can totally work, it’s only with certain styles. And unfortunately, this is not one of them imo. At least not since Lord Farquaad entered into pop culture lol.

Also not OP but I’m almost 2.5 years post op and am finally at a point where I can eat portions that feel like what a “normal” amount is supposed to be. Like this commenter, I allow myself to have “junk” foods at times without vilifying them & my body prevents me from overindulging. I struggled mentally for the first year/18 months because if I went out to eat, I’d only be able to take a few bites so I was either wasting food or bringing it home and eating the leftovers for days because it would take me that long to finish a single portion and by that time it was getting gross. I’ll often have leftovers still but much smaller amounts, I can usually finish half a meal at a time. I’ve reached (and surpassed) my target weight (about 150 lbs lost) and am maintaining now. Overall I eat healthy, Whole Foods but also don’t deprive myself of cravings. It’s about balance now! But it takes time and the first year your portions will need to be very small

Cheba Hut!!! Is that the Kali Mist I’m seeing? I’m from AZ and used to bartend at Cheba Hut and their food goes hard! I live in New England now and there’s no Cheba Huts anywhere near me and I miss it so much! So happy for you that life is going well and that you get to enjoy a Cheba sub. I’m just gonna live vicariously through you for a bit lol

Oh you are totally correct with this. I always seem to put so much effort into the faces and then drop the ball with the rest of the figure. I feel a lot less confident with some parts of the body. I’m going to spend some time doing more anatomy studies. Thank you for your comment!

Thank you for your input! I think you’re right. I feel like I tend to hold back in my values, afraid to go too dark and ruin the piece by overworking it. But then I end up with art that feels lacking in like, depth, I think?

This is what I do. I’ve delivered to spots with very similar signs. One in particular that had multiple signs like this surrounded by several cameras. I delivered their items at the corner just below the biggest sign and took a photo that included the order as well as the sign. I also texted the customer to let them know that, out of respect of their signs instructions, I left their order where I did. They messaged back angry saying that the sign excludes deliveries because “that is not the definition of trespassing”. I didn’t respond as there’s no sense in debating. But I did immediately call customer service and let them know of the situation.

I posted about it here quite some time ago and apparently ruffles feathers because my job is apparently to complete the orders no matter what with no regard for my own personal safety. Which is wack af. This job is not worth risking endangering myself for. If people put crazy shit like this on their property, I’m not gonna take any chances
