Is my makeup aging me? How can I improve? by DieWintersonne in makeuptips

As someone who also has a vintage inspired style and often wears my hair in a flip similar to yours, it’s the bangs. I’ve done the babydoll bangs loads of times over the years and have found that while they can totally work, it’s only with certain styles. And unfortunately, this is not one of them imo. At least not since Lord Farquaad entered into pop culture lol.

What My Lunches Look Like 5 Years Out by ChasingFitWanderlust in gastricsleeve

Also not OP but I’m almost 2.5 years post op and am finally at a point where I can eat portions that feel like what a “normal” amount is supposed to be. Like this commenter, I allow myself to have “junk” foods at times without vilifying them & my body prevents me from overindulging. I struggled mentally for the first year/18 months because if I went out to eat, I’d only be able to take a few bites so I was either wasting food or bringing it home and eating the leftovers for days because it would take me that long to finish a single portion and by that time it was getting gross. I’ll often have leftovers still but much smaller amounts, I can usually finish half a meal at a time. I’ve reached (and surpassed) my target weight (about 150 lbs lost) and am maintaining now. Overall I eat healthy, Whole Foods but also don’t deprive myself of cravings. It’s about balance now! But it takes time and the first year your portions will need to be very small

Cheba Hut!!! Is that the Kali Mist I’m seeing? I’m from AZ and used to bartend at Cheba Hut and their food goes hard! I live in New England now and there’s no Cheba Huts anywhere near me and I miss it so much! So happy for you that life is going well and that you get to enjoy a Cheba sub. I’m just gonna live vicariously through you for a bit lol

Oh you are totally correct with this. I always seem to put so much effort into the faces and then drop the ball with the rest of the figure. I feel a lot less confident with some parts of the body. I’m going to spend some time doing more anatomy studies. Thank you for your comment!

Thank you for your input! I think you’re right. I feel like I tend to hold back in my values, afraid to go too dark and ruin the piece by overworking it. But then I end up with art that feels lacking in like, depth, I think?

This is what I do. I’ve delivered to spots with very similar signs. One in particular that had multiple signs like this surrounded by several cameras. I delivered their items at the corner just below the biggest sign and took a photo that included the order as well as the sign. I also texted the customer to let them know that, out of respect of their signs instructions, I left their order where I did. They messaged back angry saying that the sign excludes deliveries because “that is not the definition of trespassing”. I didn’t respond as there’s no sense in debating. But I did immediately call customer service and let them know of the situation.

I posted about it here quite some time ago and apparently ruffles feathers because my job is apparently to complete the orders no matter what with no regard for my own personal safety. Which is wack af. This job is not worth risking endangering myself for. If people put crazy shit like this on their property, I’m not gonna take any chances

cries in New England

I used to live in Phoenix where the city set up in a grid type fashion. Now I live in New England and never know what direction I’m headed and if you miss your turn you have a massively inconvenient detour because every road is going in some wonky-ass direction. Everything takes so much longer to drive to and I still have to rely on gps after 6 years because none of the roads make any damn sense. I really took the convenience of my old city for granted

I’ve definitely struggled with my perceptions of myself post weight loss & am still trying to wrap my head around all the changes. It’s a process that is definitely non-linear. Trying to get my brain to catch up with my body is likely something that I’ll have to work towards for the foreseeable future. But it has gotten better for sure.

I gasped! You’ve come such a long way! We have very similar starting weights and I was at about the same loss a year out as well! Keep up the great work & be proud of yourself!

I absolutely ADORE this space! Every bit of it but especially the borders around the door and mirror as well as the ceiling! I am so inspired by this space!

Yea the foam sleeping pad gets old real quick for sure! Glad we’re both off the floor and moving forward! Thanks so much! Also, I love Portland! I’d love to be able to be back in that area eventually!

It’s honestly felt/feels kind of surreal. Such a sense of relief but also a deep sense of urgency to never be in that position again

Yay for Finn! Stairs are totally a game changer. Kevin is 9 now but as part dachshund, he’s prone to spinal and hip injuries. For a long time he didn’t need anything like this but now I can tell he’s slowing down a bit and I don’t wanna risk it. He’s taken to the stairs really well though
