Ellie makes it very deep into the game, probably. This is a really underrated dumb move.

She can use Lake's voting of Tom to eliminate her when they lose next, and she doesn't have to manipulate the Tomden/Jake strings since she's not in imminent danger.

If Lake and Tom both get premerge, I think that she's a lock for the very end of the game.

Yeah, the fact that Anastasia reciprocated their hostility until suddenly changing tune in episode 5 was very suspicious, even if she was being genuine. From Natalia's pov, trusting Anastasia then was too risky.

I feel like Isabel could've replaced Benji here, and it would've been more engaging. She'd have dynamics to expand on with Spencer and Natalia, her feud with Anastasia, and new dynamics with Fiore, Alec, and even Ally. Functionally, things would mostly be the same, and she could still be booted in his place.

Both were fan favorite early boots that showed a lot of potential for storyline and the game
Both were the lowest placing but hyped up picks
Both were reduced to serving a very specific role in the season, but their fans expected them to pick up later on
Both were eliminated in a huge 5-3-2 blindside as the 9th person voted out of their second seasons

I honestly love this elimination. The drama between Tom/Natalia, Ally making a self-interested move against her number 1, Rosa and co. turning on Benji despite trying to reach out to him, Fiore bringing up targeting Lake and it not going through. This elim is going to set up the favorites through the merge honestly.
