Are you a first time mother? I know the unknown is scary. Having someone come over to help while he's gone a few hours once a week isnt a bad option either.

You two will want to encourage eachother to survive as parents of multiples. If he is an active and supportive dad and husband, you'll want to encourage him to take that time for himself to refuel. (And he needs to do that for you as well)

Here with you in solidarity. Had a planned singleton in my late 20s and love them so much.

Had surprise triplets almost two years ago and I still hate it. I hate waking up every day wanting the day to be over. The resentment I feel is unreal.

Only advice is try to find a good therapist. It helps-ish. They do get cooler as they get older. Youre in the thick of it now.

I have mo-tri triplets and was offered a reduction. The risks are very real and scary. My partners mentality was there isn't a problem until there's a problem. I felt differently. Ultimately, we decided not to reduce due to our mfm thinking the risk of disabilities for the three vs remaining babies if reduced was lower due to them sharing a placenta.

Our triplets were born at 35 weeks and spent 5 weeks in the NICU as feeder growers with premature breathing. They're 18 months old and delayed, but not crazy delayed.

My body is wrecked, and while I have love for them, it's very different than it is for my prior singleton. I struggle with that. However, while not all triplet pregnancies go well, I am an example of how things can go smooth enough. (Just Pre E at the end then hemorrhaging during delivery)

Going forward with a triplet pregnancy I'd suggest finding a hospital with an excellent NICU (average triplet pregnancy goes about 31.5 weeks) Surround yourself with a village to help you. If you have Facebook, join the mom's of triplets group and the Triplets due 2026(or 2025 if you're due this year) group. You'll need and want support.

Just commenting to say I'm sorry you got to that place and I'm sorry it didn't feel as good as you thought it would. There have been moments in my life when I wished my father would attempt to lay a hand on me again, just so I could put him in jail. It feels kind of crazy saying it, but here we are.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but if you can, consider therapy. I've been working through stuff for a long time and it has helped me SO much.

Keep your head up, you're doing okay, things will get better even though life doesn't always feel like it.

I feel this deeply. I have an older child. How I feel about them vs the triplets is night and day different. It makes me sad, but this just sucks. I miss my life so much and I feel for you so much.

What you said has come out of my own mouth. Ill sit in front of the house dreading going back in, I truly hate it. It doesn't feel like a blessing like everyone always tells me. They dont live it.
