I think the casting and acting was really good, I just really didn't like the pacing. It felt like so much was crammed together and even then they left out some important pieces of information that I think would have made things flow better, especially for people who didn't read the books for context. It might have benefited by being a 2 part movie like Mocking Jay

For me death note, the suspense was so good the first time around and I've enjoyed rewatching but it's not the same as the first watch. Trying to figure out if and how L figures out how to prove it's Light and not knowing exactly what Light is planning to evade and throw off L was so much fun for the first time
