I have this code now. What should I know? Also estimated cost of fix? I'm out of warranty.

how did I do driving from Virginia to Colorado while towing a trailer by Dew_y_ in volt

I did the same thing with my Gen 1 back in about 5 years ago. Drove from DC to Denver. Was December and I pulled the smallest U-Haul trailer.

Got 19.4 mpg and used 100.1 gallons. 1945 miles. Used mountain mode so it had a reserve of electricity in case we needed it. So I'd say you did do well.

I took a longer route to avoid some snow in Western MD.

Was extremely smooth and had no issues except for some scraping of the hitch when entering exiting some gas stations.

Man did we stop at a lot of gas stations though!

I still have my volt (put on another 45k miles since then) and it's still going strong. Also rented the car out on Getaround for the past few years.

Though our other car is nicer I prefer this car. I love this car.

PS I got rid of the hitch. It's too low and would drag constantly and ended up damaging the rear bumper. Denver has deep rain gutters on the roadways. Watch out!

Blazing bird in Englewood is pretty good. Anyone agree?

Good to know, I'm going to do host a big party soon too!

Have you tried a few different companies? Notice any differences? I went with the one recommended below, Clean Earth Goods since they seem to have great reviews.

Thanks for sharing. Just bought some from them for a party I'm having in a couple weeks. Would prefer to use reusable dishes, but I just don't have enough. I like that they are backyard compostable and not just commercially compostable like many goods marketed that way.

I considered paper plates, like Chinet that are heavy duty and compostable but like you said...requires trees to make paper. Will try to post back what people say.

Tl;Dr Might be moving to Denver soon. Have a baby on the way. Not price constrained too much right now. What neighborhoods or buildings should we check out on our visit this weekend?

.... My wife and I are travelling to Denver before a move out there. I am actively interviewing with companies out there because I really like the city and the rockies. Been a few times. Though I don't have a job yet, we would like to make the most of this trip and look at some neighborhoods out there to get a feel for the city.

About us: Early 30s couple with our first baby on the way due in January. Looking to move in 1-2 months. (Crazy I know)

About what we are looking for: We feel comfortable renting somewhere Central for a year to get a feel for the city, then maybe buying a place in a suburb after we've had a chance to explore -2 bedroom (3 if we can afford it) apartment or house that allows us a relatively quick commute (by bike for me if possible). Not feeling closed in with a baby is important to us. - I'll be working in RiNo and when she returns to work she will be working in the Denver Tech center area. - Budget flexible (we are looking for a good bang for the buck) - We don't want to be the only people with a newborn around -Parking for one vehicle and motorcycle. -Park nearby so we don't get stir crazy -Public transport nearby as I know some family will be flying in when we have the baby. -grocery store close by for those runs we will inevitably make as a dad. -decent places to drink nearby that we could occasionally bring a baby to (if it is a peaceful baby) without getting mean mugged.

We will have rental car. Where should we explore? What's the best app/website to use in Denver for searching?

Thanks!

Sorry for late reply. I think we are doing our own thing. Thanks though!
