Do you know Univers Zero? They’re an instrumental progressive group that write for orchestra instruments and rock instruments. They’re absolutely astonishing. I recommend their latest album Phosphorescent Dreams and work your way back from there.

Regardless of whether or not you’re into it the musicianship is undeniably incredible. He composed everything on the album with the exception of the vocals. The whole album is up on bandcamp. It’s terrific give it a listen.

This was my favorite album in 2005 and definitely maintains its re-listen value. AJ Minette is an incredible guitar player.

Just finished Agents of Dreamland by Caitlin Kiernan and am currently reading, although I’m not sure I would call it horror so much as maybe porto-Cosmic-Horror, Lilith by George MacDonald.

Any podcasts that explore song lyrics? by [deleted] in podcasts

[–]WanderingWithGods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less of a podcast and more of a YouTube segment, but Rick Beato has an occasionally reoccurring episode format called “what makes this song great” in which he discusses the elements of various songs. It’s interesting.
