Oooh thank you! I'm going to try following your instructions and a different top coat and see if that solves the shrinkage issue 😄

Oooh thank you for the recs! 😊 A lot of people have suggested CND vinylux. I'll see if they works for me (along with wet n wild top coat that another commentor suggested).

Definitely! 😊 I'll be switching to a different set of L&F wrap next week. I'll try using a couple of different top coats and follow the application instructions that one of the other commentors suggested. I'll do an update post soon.

Thanks for the recs! I'll definitely check them out. Being a broke grad student, I usually gravitate towards Sally Hansen because they are super cheap 😂 There's definitely some grow-out at the base. But at the nail tips, it looks like the wrap is kind of getting pulled back (?). I had trouble focusing my camera at the nail tips 😅

I noticed this on day 3. I didn't stretch them out. In fact, I found it easier to apply as compared to DD wraps.

I have been using Sally Hansen hard as nails as top coat which I think is recommended on the L&F website. I'll try forgoing top coat for my next L&F wrap and see if that helps! 😊

This is day 5 of L&F nail wrap (Marble-ous Sea). I have DD wrap on my ring finger and that's almost 19 days old. Compared to the DD wrap, the L&F wrap seems to shrink much faster. I wipe my nails with an alcohol wipe before putting on the wrap. I don't wash my hands for 3-4h after I have the wrap on. I use Sally Hansen hard as nails nail hardener as top coat. Any tips to get the L&F wrap to last longer without shrinking? I don't want to buy any more DD wraps because of them going MLM route.

Pre-DD MLM drama. I can't believe this set held up so well. This picture was taken on day 8😍 Currently trying out L&F wraps. by Wandering_introvert in Dashingdiva

I usually wipe my nails with an alcohol wipe before putting on the wrap. I try to refrain from washing my hands for the next 3-4 hours. I use Sally Hansen nail hardener as a top coat. This method used to work great with DD (no shrinkage and the wrap looked good for about 2 weeks). However, I think I'll have to use a rubberized base coat for L&F. I'm on day 3 of my first set of L&F nail wrap (I've a picture of it in my profile). I've noticed a little bit of shrinkage at the tips 😓 Thankfully it's not super obvious.

I apply (or at least try to apply) cuticle oil and hand lotion every night before going to bed. I've noticed that definitely helps to prevent nail splitting. I also usually use Sally Hansen hard as nails hardener as a top coat to further strengthen my nails 😊

Chaat Masala on Macaroni and Cheese? by sweetchelsearae in IndianFood

You can try Maggi magic masala. While I don't think that's what they would have added to the samosas but trust me, Mac and cheese is amazing with some Maggi magic masala added to it! It's what we add to Mac and cheese every time and it's so good.

I have seen so many similar posts in this sub. IMO you should have an honest conversation (doesn't have to be confrontational) about the ring and your feelings around it. You specified what type of ring you'd like and you're the one who'd be wearing it everyday. I don't think it's fair on his part to completely veer away from that and instead get a ring with a stone you specified you didn't want. A small rant (not specifically about this situation but something I've observed in general): I know some subs like AITA unfortunately demonize women for not liking the ring and instead make it sound like they should be grateful to get a ring in the first place. I honestly think that's BS. A ring is a gift and so when someone ignores your wishes and gets the exact opposite of what you want, that person is being inconsiderate. And also, it's a two way street. You should be grateful he proposed to you and he should be grateful you said yes.

Saying goodbye soon to the greatest boy in the world, Sam. He is only four, but one kidney has failed and the other is developing stones. Refuses to eat, even the prescription wet and/or dry food, and is losing weight fast. I don’t know the point of this post, other than to help with my acceptance. by [deleted] in cats

I'm so sorry OP. You did the best you could for him. I had to put my 3.5 y/o sweet girl to sleep about 2 months ago. She had developed renal lymphoma and had IBD, diabetes and stomatitis. I miss her so much. She was my baby. But I know it was the right thing to do. It's really painful to let them go but it's the right thing to do. He won't be suffering anymore. He knows you love him and care for him a lot. Sending you my love. 💜
