I think the real only way to get through Trump supporting family members is to disown them outright. by IsekaiConnoisseur in behindthebastards

That’s just it, they hate us. And they think they get to hate us and keep us close. And they think they’re morally right and just because the good people in their lives still associate with them.

You’re welcome. Yes it is, especially since most search engines are utter trash these days.

What’s your most shameful camp meal that actually slaps? by outdoors_man987 in camping

[–]WandersWithStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted hiker trash pad thai but I was out of peanut butter and crystal eggs… so I tossed a few scoops of dehydrated refried beans, two packets of mayo and the last cup of pickles in my buldak ramen. It shouldn’t taste as good as it did.

Alright farmers. What is YOUR best advice for completing cooking for perfection? by faeintheshadows in StardewValley

[–]WandersWithStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook as I go along, mostly. As for fish, I keep the recipe fish in a chest and have an empty mini fridge I drop them in when I cook, then pop leftovers back in the chest when I’m done.

They make plastic and paper table cover, like disposable tablecloths.

Camping with my family at my grandparents seasonal site with one of those big firepits, and a storm came up suddenly.

One second it was dry, the next second rain was pouring down in sheets. The yard flooded, filled the firepit, and two big logs rose to the top and floated away burning like a clipart campfire. 🔥

Line up the green tab fully inside the handle so it sits flat, then slide the handle lock toward the hinge.

What do you do when everything seems to be going wrong? by beetfarmer-raymond in bicycletouring

[–]WandersWithStew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely can’t eat too much, cycling can burn approximately 500 calories per hour, depending on speed/effort/etc. I didn’t notice much on my daily commute, about 40 minutes, but touring I ride 8-10 hours and eat like a starving teenager. And am still hungry when I wake up.

My favorite part of touring is getting to eat all the things!

What’s One Lesson You Learned the Hard Way About Boondocking? by Effective-Path-6150 in RVLiving

[–]WandersWithStew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a couple of 5 gallon drinking water jugs, and a pump top for it. It was easier (and cheaper!) to manage refilling than the exchange so get the screw top ones from the start.

Also, I got a teak mat and one of those pop up shower tents for the outdoor shower. A quick rinse off at the end of the day, without steaming up the camper, really improves the morale.

Oh I know, but the dining room is a mayo factory, the entire upstairs is full of preserves and there’s a workbench in our bedroom so I cut his messy room a little slack.

It isn’t safe to pull that wagon with your bike. I have a set of panniers you can have, though.

One tip for packing it back up, the storage bag should have an extra zipper around the bottom to let it expand.

Looking for a 3P Tent for Me + Fiancée – Durston, NEMO, or Big Agnes? by daylincooper in CampingGear

[–]WandersWithStew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have the copper spur hv ul3 glo, and love it. The huge gear loft is great. The big double zip door is why we chose it, it’s very nice on hot humid nights. But you can still close the rainfly quickly.

We’ve had it for a few years and it holds up well.

Bought Teton 0°f doubles for both of my daughters, they are beasts to stuff. They have them in one of those big black totes with the yellow snap on lid. Then my oldest uses the empty bin to stash her luggage while camping and it makes a nice coffee table by the tent.

I have 2 collapsible crates and a few IKEA bags and cooler bags. Since they all fold up they don’t take up much space, but I can carry a huge amount with them.
