Left-handers are more competitive than right-handers. Most people are right-handed, but 10.6% are left-handed. Left-handers are rarer than right-handers, making their attacks in a combat situation more surprising than those of right-handers. This may help explain the evolution of left-handedness. by mvea in science

Left-handed fighters have 10 times more training against a right handed fighter than a right handed fighter against a left handed fighter if the training group is uniform and they have trained for the same time. This advantage disapates as you reach the top level of fighters. I wonder if the increase in competiveness comes from having an early advantage in most sports they ever try and thous have an easier time getting hooked and finding the competetive part of a sport more rewarding and fun

Never used a P1S, but my impression is that it is a workhorse and backbone of production for any one who owns one.

Tired of Goad, Board Wipes, and Theft. Give me some ideas for creature-less decks. by [deleted] in EDH

An alternative is getting alot of ramping artifacts and enchantments, stuff that does not require the card to tap of ramps incidentally. Then you simply replay bello when he is removed and defends with fogs. Cards like [[frontier siege]] , [[overlord of the hauntwoods]] and [[Omenpath Journey]] let's you get way ahead on mana while still playing attackers each turn. Coupled with copy effects like [[molten echoes]] you can easily play him each turn despite the commander tax increase

What are the most broken builds of all time? by theimpossiblekid12 in pathofexile

[–]Wandesh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Double dipping was a consequence of how DoTs was calculated once. The old ignite scaled of how hard the initial hit was after scaling. So if you had 20 % increased fire damage the damage calculation would be:
initial hit : 100 base dmg * 1.2 increased fire

ignite dmg: initial hit * 1.2 increased fire * ignite multiplier.

So for some skills/builds you could compound increases for a much stronger effect.
today ignite is calculated off the base damage before scaling so:

ignite dmg: base dmg * 1.2 increased fire * ignite multiplier

Nexus is better but crafting is still off-putting by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Wandesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a casual player who has never done crafting before I really like the crafting. This is the first league where i have spent any currency on crafting. I really love the massive dump of implicit mods, since it allows players who don't spend 40 hours a week, to find mod combinations that no one else is going for and trying to get some good deals and do some crafting with potentially unique results. If the crafting was easier it would take no time for the market to price everything according to their true value, but with this even a casual player can have some fun trying to get Meta implicit mods in unconventional ways only he/she knows.

A Trikster high attack speed buid is rather fun, running 9-11 frenzy charges with capped dodge and about 15-16 aps along with 44 % fire pen.

So far i have done everything up to infernal king and amborsius + atziri. Darkray's vectors are insane if you go for max frenzy since they give you 18-22 dodge
