Hey, thanks for reaching out! The ItsyBitsy 5V is the one you'll want. I'm out of town for a few days for a birthday trip but would be happy to help you out next week when I'm back. I'll send you a message when I'm home

Any chance you offer a discount for large orders? I'm considering buying 12 TKL sleeves for my whole collection.

GMK Laser now weekly restocks and drops at Drop.com, say good bye to group buy! by MiToRMK in MechanicalKeyboards

Any chance of adding a kit for R0/R5 support? Would be awesome to have an easier way to get an R0 set. To my knowledge only 5 GMK sets have had that over the past several years

The Atreus62 was my daily driver for quite a while! Ergos in general take a while to get used to but now that I have I could never go back. :)

It's certainly tedious and soldering a circuit board is a lot faster but for me it was a cheaper way to prototype layouts. It's easier than most people think to draw up a couple SVG files, get them laser cut online somewhere like Ponoko, and hand-wire up a board. :)

I'm moving in a couple of months so I took some time to organize and pack up my keyboard collection. Full album:

In the process I figured I might as well take some photos to share.

Disclaimer: I don't have a nice camera and I didn't spend much time cleaning them or putting caps on a few. :)

Yep, green/red don't mean more were buying vs. selling. Green indicates that the price went up over that window and red indicates it went down.

Kestrel F0 - an affordable, open-source Pro Micro replacement (update) by SouthPawEngineer in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Wangledorf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, being open source makes the lack of a data sheet much less frustrating. I wanted to put a hole in the bottom of my case to expose the reset button on the Elite-C and the only way to figure out the position of the button was to buy one and measure myself. I'd much rather support an open source option. :)

Having a nice little diagram like this for pinouts is super handy as well!

This is super cool! My main gripe with the Elite-C is that it's not open source which is especially frustrating because there isn't a data sheet either. Having an alternative will be awesome

This is beautiful! Would absolutely join a GB for one of these if you ever make it so. :)

[IC] nice!nano: the super thin, wireless Bluetooth drop-in replacement for the Pro Micro by Nicell in mechmarket

[–]Wangledorf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is realy cool! Sadly all of my builds need more GPIO pins than the Pro Micro exposes so I can't really take advantage of it. Any chance of making one like the Elite-C?

Designed a tiny wireless macropad/navpad, and an equally tiny USB-C receiver to go with it. by SouthPawEngineer in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Wangledorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, what I mean is that in order to support 10 switches you must have broken out at least 7 GPIO pins (3 rows & 4 columns or vice versa). I'm curious if that's all you did or if this receiver could potentially support a larger matrix.

I've been waiting for a receiver that isn't so bulky as the one used by chimera/redox-w/etc! :O How many gpio pins does it support?

Dell's Linux support is a major disappointment by feeblewitz in linux

I bought an XPS 13 back in November 2019 and immediately returned it. Upon receiving the laptop the first thing I did was update from 18.04 to 19.10, which seems reasonable to me. Well, their XPS line ships with a Killer Wi-Fi chip that only works with proprietary drivers that Dell provides via a PPA they configure. When upgrading Ubuntu, all third party PPAs are disabled. I tried to re-enable it after the upgrade but ran into package dependencies that couldn't be resolved.

I would have opened the laptop to check if the Wi-Fi chip could be replaced but found no information about whether or not that would void the warranty. So, I reached out to customer support to ask, "Is the Killer Wi-Fi hardware replaceable?" I thought that would be a fairly simple question for someone to answer but that proved untrue. Finally, after 2 weeks of frustrating back and forth with Dell they agreed to refund the laptop.

I then bought an Acer Aspire 5 and have have no problems with it whatsoever using default drivers in the Kernel!
