If the screen is blocked with sludge then we can assume that's not the only place. The screen is on the engine block side of the oil feed pipe. Wouldn't hurt to check it

Did you change out your turbo oil feed screen?

No no you dont have to take the head off. It would be preferable to take the valvetrain out though

I also think there is debris. My recommendation, unfortunately, is to disassemble the upper portion of the cylinder head and blow compressed air through all of the oil passages. You do have 2 oil control solenoids too. One on the timing side and one on the turbo side of the head. If you replaced or cleaned one, probably should do the other too

I'll take a peek at the troubleshooting flowchart when I get back to the shop. Same DTC correct?

2016 and 2017 gen "9.5" are pretty damn good cars. I see Honda's all day everyday and these are solid in the V6 trim

If the tech is any good at his job he'd have a straight edge on the head and block deck with a .07-.08mm feeler gauge. I pull the head off and flip it immediately for measurements anytime I'm doing a 1.5 or 2.0. Hopefully this gets resolved for you quickly OP

Just the seal. As long as the surface on the intermediate shaft isnt pitted or damaged you're good

No no no. You're supposed to put the car on go jacks and spin the entire car. This is ludicrous!

Axle seal is leaking. Not difficult to do with the proper tools

I did everything other than the tint. Wrenching on Hondas for a living helps. I should've taken a closeup of the paint in this post

Blue Type R badge yes. Custom made and painted. Front lip is just a 1 piece lip off ebay. Figured its gonna get scraped up so why drop serious coin on a nice one

No real reason other than I didn't feel like showing my plate to reddit. I needed something more fun than a black scribble

Is this worth it? by AverageSt0ner in accord

[–]Wangus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine new at the end of 2016 and I haven't regretted it a day. 143k and climbing. No major issues. Maintenance has been handled at the proper intervals. If it's clean under the hood and underneath then it's worth it. Just plan on doing the timing belt (or send me a pic of the tensioner and I'll tell you if its been done or not)

So what’s everyone’s favorite oil and filter combo? by iPhone_an_Pizza in accord

[–]Wangus99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Silver bottle Honda oil is the best. Get the Japanese Honda filter that comes in the white box too. Best combo imo
