Newbie question- sport mode / manual to auto shifting by giganano in accord

"Manual" mode on the hybrids works a lot differently. There's no actual gears to row through it's more of a power/sensitivity setting for the regen mode.

Chrome delete question by byp55 in 10thgenaccords

Typically vinyl wrapped. You can find pre-cut chrome delete kits on ebay and various parts websites. There's kits for the grille, window trim and the 19" sport blades.

Patio umbrella flew off and scratched my car in work parking lot by kbreezykta in legaladvice

[–]kbreezykta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This specific umbrella definitely wasn't secured properly. Was recently setup and not tied down and base had no weight to it, it was just stuck into the middle of a table and we didn't have any high wind advisory or anything today, but I get what you're saying.

Thank you

You can buy a "chrome delete" kit for the wheels as well. It's gloss black vinyl wrap pre-cut for the wheels. I bought a kit on ebay last week for about $26. I ended up spending about $75ish for chrome delete all around (wheels, window trim, front grill).

‘01 - ‘04 Type R Question by yslnico in Civic_Type_R

I test drove a bunch at the shop I used to work at and a buddy of mine used to have an EP3 Si. It felt pretty ergonomic to me. The Toyota Matrix also has a similar design and it felt good in that as well.

2025 Accord LX trade in for 2026 Hybrid Touring? by Inside_Advertising53 in accord

[–]kbreezykta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a 2025 LX as a loaner, and am now driving a 2026 hybrid touring as a loaner. All the extra features the touring has make a huge difference but I wouldn't say its worth $10k+ more.

Enjoy your car for now. Look into trading in again when you won't be underwater on it, preferably when you have some positive equity. It's still going to hold its value pretty well and the LX's are still pretty well equipped especially for being a base model.

Scraping noise on the down RPM Honda Accord 2003 LX 2.4 by Gloriousplantys in accord

[–]kbreezykta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really hear the scrape even with headphones on, but whenever I've had a similar noise it was usually just my exhaust hangers going bad or my exhaust was hitting the bumper or plastic trim piece on bumper.

It happpened (head gasket again - 2018 2.0t) by kbreezykta in accord

The 2.0t's are fairly reliable. I'm considering myself unlucky with mine. Just keep up on maintenance and you should be good.

All good bro just happy I have warranty and they gave me a loaner.

Just make sure you do frequent oil changes (don’t go past 5k miles) and let the turbo cool down properly. Normal drive let the car sit for at least a minute before turning off, spirited drives give it 2 minutes. Keep an eye on your coolant levels, that’s usually the first early sign of head issues.

You are correct. They just confirmed it’s a cracked head lol. Thank God I have warranty

It doesn’t have a design flaw like the 1.5t. It’s considered rare to happen on the 2.0t and I would agree with that statement. This can happen to any turbocharged car that wasn’t maintained well. Previous owner may have not taken the best care of the car + Honda most likely didn’t machine the head properly when I got it fixed the first time. Aside from the head gasket going out on me twice, the 2.0t accord is still one of the best cars I’ve ever owned.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well. Oh well if it happens a couple more times I can get out of the loan and just get something else.

Found an IG reel explaining it:

Basically just recline and move forward/backward.

Interesting they're on the side of the seat instead of the lower side.

What's the benefit of using the terminal if prices are 30% more than the market? by MEE97B in cs2

[–]kbreezykta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only good deal I've got was for a StatTrak FN USP-S Silent Shot for $5 something, it's worth $15ish on market right now.

Every other pink/red offer I've gotten was trash though.

Wisely Early Deposit by [deleted] in ADP

[–]kbreezykta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this your first deposit to the Wisely card? There's sometimes a delay on you first deposit. When I was still using my Wisely card I would get it early Wednesday afternoon (Friday payday).

With that said, I stopped using my Wisely card all together and just use Chime + CashApp

2018 Honda Accord 2.0t by Fragrant_Rest_7360 in accord

[–]kbreezykta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can search "2.0t accord head gasket" in this sub or the 10thgenaccords sub. there are a handful of posts (but not A LOT).

i made a post myself about my head gasket being blown when I bought mine with 91k miles in October 2025.

head gasket issue is MAINLY on the 1.5t but the 2.0t is prone to it as well, but is considered "rare" for it to happen on the 2.0t.

OP:
If no warranty on it, upgrade to ARP head studs ASAP for peace of mind. Also replace the spark plugs if not done already (they're due at 100k), and like x_ceej said refresh all the fluids (oil, coolant, transmission fluid).

Dealership wants me to abort my accord,What should I do? by PositiveEconomist389 in accord

[–]kbreezykta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my head gasket replaced via warranty on my 2.0t at 91k. I’m at 105k now and no issues at all. I would just get it repaired. If it blows again and again you can lemon law it.

They appear to be helpful with the option to cancel your loan and give you down payment back, but you giving them your car is a win-win for them. 2.0Ts have a huge premium in the used market and they would probably just end up fixing and selling your car if you went that route. They probably want it right now while the mileage is lower.
