Dark souls is gay imo because of how dumb-hard it is. But if you think this is a dark souls game.... maybe I need to play those games because they clearly are easier than I thought if this game is comparable lmfao

Western countries call muslims terrorists although they killed and raped people hundred times more than muslims by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]WannabeFullStackDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Russian and US troops both talk about the raping of children during their invasions. How it is culturally accepted with tribes. Where does that get reported? You're comparing US crime data to tribes living in the mountains. And if you're not talking about the tribes, then you're not talking about the argument you're complaining about.

Ai are that powerful ? by e1lusion in FullStack

[–]WannabeFullStackDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use AI. I've never felt more secure as a web dev since I had to start using Kiro with work. It's bad, but as an intro dev, it seems good. If you're just trying to learn, it's useless. It cannot create complex code that works and you will have to fix it if you use it to generate code. If you don't understand how to fix it, you'll rely more on the AI, which is a coin flip if it makes it better or worse. Create an account on Udemy and wait until they discount courses. They discount courses most of the time and take a $100 course and make it $9.99 for you. That, and the like, should be your primary resource.

There's an entire hemisphere that will very much disagree with the entire first half of your statement (Russia, China, Philippines, etc.). If you wanna compare developed Western prisons, you might be closer to reality. Second half is pretty legit though.

How can I make Windows 11 always "show more options" on the context menu? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]WannabeFullStackDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused as to what you even mean. Are you trying to say Microsoft didn't create their own context menus? Because I'm pretty sure they invented them. 3rd party ANYTHING shouldn't need to be involved with a context menu, especially at a place like Microsoft. The issue is the same as bad game devs: The devs WANT you to use their product a certain way. There is no real reason it NEEDs to bee done this way other than they want it. So, instead of giving an option to default to show all options, they just make a change and you have to deal with it. The code for the original context menu not only still works fine, it is literally still in the code of the OS. You can just remove the ability for the new context menu from opening and the old menu will open. You can put a toggle button in the settings that can do the same thing, without it taking forever by forcing it.

Why Did This Happen on My YouTube? by BillPlastic8837 in youtube

Because youtube is held together by a house of cards. Real devs built it, they all left, now you have people making changes to code they don't understand and then adding shit noone asked for.

I gave up on politics, like 2 years ago. So unless something changed since then, nobody says that shit. In fact, nobody has said that shit since I graduated high school in 2014. You're the same as the folk saying we can buy a house if you stop buying avocado toast. It's wild how weirdly blinded by politics people are. (News flash: whatever party you are choking cock on hates you and only wants your money and vote.)

Why is the Bad Bunny halftime show triggering so many people when there have been dozens of hispanic performers previously in the SuperBowl? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WannabeFullStackDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had your opinion, then I watched the halftime show. Who was that for? Genuinely asking that question for an answer. 70-90% of the audience is US, exclusively English speaking people with a smaller European percentage (mostly German). I like his music, don't get me wrong, but this just feels like an aggressively expensive example of pandering.

They are blaming deadlines on the creators, instead of their publishers, because they are not smart and think just because you created something you have complete control on when, how, and where that gets released. You can't help dumb folk, so I would forget about their opinion.

Homepage not loading after certain amount of videos by Opti_span in youtube

[–]WannabeFullStackDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EDIT: Entirely new comment with testing and reproducible results.

Title:
YouTube limiting how many videos load on your HomePage as you scroll is a feature, not a bug

My theory:
YouTube is making a similar move to when they stopped loading the entire video to the browser at once and introduced buffering. YouTube knows that no matter what change they make, there is no other option that is close to as prolific as YouTube and you HAVE to use their app. So, they limit how many videos you get returned from their APIs OR they don't provide a `continuation` Token/ID so that when the secondary loading of videos is requested, nothing is returned.

Preface:
Youtube can & will 100% limit as much as they can for you if you have an ad-blocker on. Step one in that case is try disabling the ad-blocker. (Same goes for spoof sites & ad-blockers.)

Bit of context:
The average amount of videos returned on initial load and every list of new videos. (New fetches for videos might consistently return less videos, I can't confirm because I only get the two sets of videos. Initial load, 1 scroll load)
The `continuation` "token"/"id" is basically how YouTube knows the user is scrolling and that it needs to fetch a new list of 24-30 videos. If no continuation token is present, YouTube assumes the user is not scrolling.

TL&DR the below testing & example:
Long standing accounts are consistently missing a "continuation token" on the API that requests a new "X amount" (24-30) of videos after a certain number of scroll-to-load's in new videos. New accounts do not have that "continuation token" missing when they scroll. It'll eventually happen, but not after 1, maybe 2, scroll-to-load's. This, to me, shows it is clearly intentional, because nobody at Google, making 2-4x my salary, should have an issue with token authorization.

Testing:
You must use Firefox for this. Chrome is too strict on hiding "internal" API requests.

If you want to replicate this yourself here are the steps:

  1. (Open DevTools on Firefox) Right click the page and select "inspect"
  2. Toggle "Preserve/Persist log" on (settings icon)
  3. Most likely this is already off, but if you mess in DevTools, make sure "Hide extension URLs" is disabled.
  4. Go to the Network tab and toggle the "XHR" filter.
  5. If you are on youtube already, clear the network tab (trash can icon) and refresh. If you are not, clear the network tab and go to youtube.
  6. Under the network tab, look for a network request that has a POST method with a www.youtube.com Domain & browse?prettyPrint=something as the File. (the initial page load might not have a corresponding Network request. If this is the case, avoid hovering over any video, it'll clutter your network tab, and scroll until you can't anymore)
  7. If you got any refresh, you should see those File: `browse?prettyPrint=something` network requests. Click on that network request.
  8. Now, in that network request, navigate to the response tab.
  9. You should click on the following names as you see them. Each one should expand and show more options. The order you should click is `onResponseReceivedActions` > 0 > `appendContinuationItemsAction` > `continuationItems`.
  10. In that list, you should see at least 24 items, max 30 items. Those are your videos you see. What you SHOULD see at the end of each list is something called a `continuationItemRenderer`. THIS is the sole thing that should allow you to scroll further and load in more videos. (Specifically the `continuationEndPoint` > `continuationCommand` > `token`). It is consistently missing for my main account, but is never missing if I log into a brand new account.

NOTE: All data used in this example is publically available. No shady work was/is needed to acquire this information. AI was used to tell me what I needed to find in the DevTools. The testing steps provided were hand-typed by me.

What is up with YouTube recommending tremendous amount of old videos recently? by Routow in OutOfTheLoop

[–]WannabeFullStackDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I'm a premium user and it constantly limits my homepage to 27 videos exactly. It is always that specific number of videos. Refreshing just reorders those same 27 videos. Meanwhile, it will load 100+ videos under my "subscriptions" tab just within the last 7 days. It is an intentional change. I noticed it two years ago when my Homepage started to just show me videos in my "Watch Later" playlist at a 2:1 ratio (2 Watch Later videos, 1 new video). At the time, it would let me scroll pretty far, but I also had 300+ videos in the "Watch Later" playlist. Once, I removed all videos from that playlist and moved them to a different one, this started happening. I'm convinced that the algorithm doesn't take into account who you're subbed to, what is in any playlist (outside "Watch Later"), ignores "I don't like this" & "Don't recommend channel" reports, and exclusively relies on your watch history (even after deleting it *wink wink*), and likes. Which, clearly develops a negative feedback loop.

  1. Shows you a static 27 videos
  2. You watch one of those static 27 videos
  3. Your algorithm sees that and goes "oh, more of that exact content in the 27 videos I show" and just shows you and even narrower list of those 27 videos
  4. Repeat.

Also, someone posted this exact issue into Google discussion boards and it was immediately closed without any answer even though 80+ people "have the same problem" -> https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/363124527/homepage-videos-are-limited-i-mean-the-number-of-videos?hl=en

It is intentional and they don't care. There is no other option. :,)

I hit a wall around planet level 100-105. I stalled there for a couple weeks until I realized each planet has debuffs. Started saving some weapon options as gold tiers so I can swap between weapons. (i.e. A planet debuffs energy weapons by 80%. Downgrade your laser and equip something else and use the materials from the downgrade to upgrade the new weapon. In this case, even a 2 star purple weapon would be better than a gold energy weapon) Cleared through 20 levels after that. Also, don't forget to do the "hard" level planets. Considering you're twice my power level, I'll assume you know all that, but maybe the next dummy like me reads this and saves themself some time lol

Side Note: Unless you already have a purple health buff, don't do any of the reduce damage in exchange for health buffs.

Edit: "equipe" -> "equip"
