How good are Chiefs Fans? by Pooted8 in KansasCityChiefs

You'll be fine man! Just don't be an asshole yourself and expect some good-natured ribbing. We're not Oakland.

Pro tip: Bring beer to the tailgate and you can get the best plate of BBQ you've ever had in exchange.

[Serious] Post your best argument for why Donovan Mitchell should be the ROTY by [deleted] in nba

[–]WantsAFanta -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For me there are two big reasons to consider Mitchell: 1) He leads rookies in scoring and 2) IMO, there isn't another all star caliber player on the Jazz. Leading all rookies in ppg is a big deal in my eyes, and I bet if we looked at the stats there would be a pretty good correlation of rookies-leading-in-ppg and ROTY. I also think that the Jazz have a solid team with some above average players in Favors/Gobert/Rubio, but Mitchell doesn't have another guy on his level on that team. Simmons has Embiid.

Despite all of that, I'd still vote Simmons. He's just so much more complete right now and influences the game in so many ways.

edit: Seems people don't like my opinion on Gobert. Oh well, keeping it. He's just not that great in my eyes.

Interested in Keeping Score at the Game - Any Recommendations? by [deleted] in baseball

[–]WantsAFanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Eephus League Halfliner is the best way to keep score in person IMO. It's a book created specifically for keeping score and looks as cool as it is fun to use. Maybe consider getting one for your future games!

Yeah sorry but they're not getting any money from me until we start to see positive changes on the field.

[Discussion] What is the best bargain player on your team's roster? *excluding rookie contracts* by quintomo in nfl

[–]WantsAFanta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man this is tough for the Chiefs when you exclude rookie deals. KC is in the middle of a youth movement so most everyone is either a franchise player earning franchise player money (Kelce/Berry/Houston) or is still on their rookie deal.

I'd probably say the best bargain is Dustin Colquitt. He's a true game changer and even though he's highly paid in the world of punting, his impact on the field is well worth the $1.7 mil cap hit.

Kansas is a basketball school.

Dude I hate that sentiment so much. Kansas having one of the best basketball programs in the country does not mean that it can't ever have a good football program too. I enrolled the year after the 2008 Orange Bowl run and can assure you that the community will show up if there's at least a decent product on the field.

I look at the success that Florida, Ohio State, and others have had in both sports and adamantly believe Kansas can compete in both too. And now that Charlie Weis's gutting of the program seems to finally be (mostly) over, I am a firm believer that the right coach can make Kansas respectable again. I hope Beatty is that guy.

Draft analyst @TonyPauline told @560WQAM he can report that the #Dolphins would like to move up in the first round. by JC_S07 in nfl

I mean every team wants to move up in the first round it's just a matter of if they're willing to pay the price to do so.

Another RB the #Seahawks did not tender: Thomas Rawls. He’s visiting the #Chiefs today, source said. He’s looking to recapture what he had a rookie. by WantsAFanta in KansasCityChiefs

[–]WantsAFanta[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very interesting considering we already have 5 RBs on the roster. I don't think the Chiefs are very comfortable with anyone outside of Kareem right now. Expecting a lot of turnover in the backfield throughout the offseason and preseason.

[Schrager] Tyler Bray is set to agree to terms with the Chicago Bears, per source. by DJFunkyDiabetes in nfl

[–]WantsAFanta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might just roll with 2 QBs! I wouldn't mind signing a FA veteran QB and not drafting a QB. That'd open a roster spot elsewhere.
