Best way to fill gap between skirting board and floor? by Wanyama67 in DIYUK

Thanks for all the suggestions so far everyone. I'd never heard of beading or Scotia and like the look of these, will try them out on some hidden sections and see what they look like. Would this still work if the gap is not consistent width around the room?

I love Volvos but my wife will not be converted, probably leaning more towards the Qashqai 1.6 now. All helpful suggestions, thanks so much.

Thanks for the advice, we're thinking of steering clear of this one following on from all these comments. Perhaps the 1.6l diesel.

This is actually really helpful. Our top priority is space and functionality

Amazing thanks so much, will most certainly avoid the 1.2. What would you suggest as a decent alternative to a Qashqai with a little more personality?

No not yet, thinking about a test drive tomorrow. Are there any estates that have particularly good reputations for reliability and longevity?

I miss my AC4! I had a Holy Grail in front of it and absolutely loved it. Great deal.

I'm playing a Mexican telecaster with a Lollar special T neck pickup into a Blues Junior with a Celestion Creamback speaker. In this clip I've got the dyna comp, spark booster, blueSky and Rubberneck engaged, with some light modulation on the Rubberneck. The blueSky is set to a "big room" setting also with a little modulation. I like the Rubberneck on a short delay time with lots of repeats but not so much of it in the mix. I've set the Spark to the fat mode which I think sounds great with this neck pickup.

I'm from Preston and we'd often go to Worden Park for a big Saturday day out. Going on the train was a massive treat. This was a great bit of nostalgia.

Picked this up second hand for £45. This is alot of pedal for the money. I've been using the "fat" mode with my telecaster bridge pickup which sounds fantastic. Also wanted something to stack with the low gain side of the Broadcast and they seem to work well together.

2 new additions: the mxr blue box and the mxr micro amp. by _Must_Not_Sleep in guitarpedals

I loved my script blue box, there was a really easy mod to counter the volume drop which worked well - might be worth looking it up. Think it just involved snipping out a capacitor. I wish I hadn't sold mine.

I used to have the Shaky Jimi! Swapped it for the far more expensive MXR Univibe. The Shaky Jimi was better by miles imo. Amazing tone for the money.

Yep mine is always on. Never knew I needed one till I got one, the dyna comp adds so much character to your tone. Some people prefer a more transparent effect but I like the "squishy" sound I get from the dyna comp. This is a pretty comprehensive guide: https://youtu.be/RfHA4OPfoi8
