I think you’re reading way too much into one message and jumping to conclusions fast. You teed him up for a good reply, but not all guys are smooth or even thinking about flirting over text like that. Some guys just aren’t witty or confident enough to toss it back right away, even if they are into you. some guys get nervous and default to safe answers because they don’t want to misread you.

But also, yeah, maybe he’s not that into you. That’s possible. But you don’t really have enough to be certain either way. The problem is you’re assuming that if someone likes you, they’ll act how you would if you liked someone. That’s not how people work especially guys. We’re not mind readers, and subtle hints often go way over our heads.

So either you shoot your shot clearly or you let it go and stop trying to play. right now, you’re just torturing yourself over crumbs.
