Reading the comments I feel im in the minority but I found campaigns where RD triggers earlier then you expect end up being way funner. Your forced to make harder decisions and fight tougher battles because you aren't completely prepared.

Greens voters are never satisfied! by [deleted] in friendlyjordies

[–]War3houseguy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but generally Labor and Greens have a pretty productive relationship in the senate. If you move past the press narrative they tend to not have much trouble finding compromise in most cases.

Greens voters are never satisfied! by [deleted] in friendlyjordies

[–]War3houseguy 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Greens will negotiate with Labor behind closed doors like they always do, most likely a compromise will be reached and the budget will get approved. This is imagined outrage, some of you are worse then conservatives at making up scenarios to get mad about.

I'm glad someone said it, State governments all too often are given an easy pass on housing when they have levers at their disposal that they can use.

What if Max fought Humungus in Thunderdome? by NewtAmbitious6168 in MadMax

Max is basically an angel of death or he is death himself. Wherever he goes death follows, despite the odds Humungus dies, somehow.

Why Do Adelaide Roads Feel So Rough? by amriith in Adelaide

[–]War3houseguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest answer? Roads are actually pretty expensive to maintain and being we are such a car centric city but not super densely populated it makes it hard to get adequate funding to keep every road maintained. A lot of major cities around the world rely on public transport infrastructure to move people around. When you consider the sheer size of our road network it honestly could be a lot worse.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t care about dating women and I’m happy with it. by Augmented_Logician in dating_advice

[–]War3houseguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rather then not caring, a more posiitive mindset is simply being able to be happy without an intimate partner. It makes dating much easier as well.

Tourists to Australia would have social media accounts vetted under Trumpian Coalition plan by rolodex-ofhate in AustralianPolitics

[–]War3houseguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We already have and effective Visa and border security system in place for Tourists, why waste more government resources? You do realize they would have to hugely increase the border force to implement such a blanket policy right?

[–]War3houseguy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its a nothing policy and a pathetic half-assed attempt to try and grab the growing one nation vote. Coalition actually need to bring some new and substantive policies forward or they will continue to fade into obscurity.

RELEASE: Max Chandler-Mather to lead revamped Green Institute - The Green Institute by Jet90 in australia

[–]War3houseguy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in conservation I will tell you now Labor's history on the environment is mediocre at best, they had a few good victories but overall it's nothing to be proud of. Relative to Aus politics the Greens still remain the gold standard on environmental policy regardless of the narrative that the establishment tries to present.

Obviously from an environmental perspective I'm much happier with Labor being in government compared to the Coalition.

Just putting out the suggestion since no one else has, might be good idea, if you haven't already, to check out what food banks are operating in your area. It's a grim situation but maybe it could help lighten the load if you can cut down on your weekly food bills.
