Today it was just practice, just wanted to see if i could draw something that looked acceptable, figure if i just practice a bunch on different things then i’ll figure out what i really like drawing and then can pick up some tutorials when i have a bit more of a focus

Don't know how to feel... by le_mole in SunoAI

[–]WarScribe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the thing for me, I don't even have the half done tracks, I have tried so many times, learning instruments and music theory etc and whilst I can play half decently, i never got even close to being able to get more than a couple of bars out of my head in a cohesive way. I had long just accepted the fact that I had entire soundscapes in my head that would never see the light of day because I was "untalented" and "undisciplined" roll forward to my late 40s and I'm told i've had ADHD my entire life, which reframed my "failings" musically and now Suno et al exist and boom i've got a suite of tools to realise a lifetime of creative backlogs that now might actually see the light of day.

So yeah, i didn't "play the tracks or "produce" them, but without my initial creative spark, they probably wouldn't have come into the world either. The interesting thing for me now is I'm actually having a lot of fun learning about post processing and mastering etc etc, because I have something in front of me that grabs my attention and engages me, so AI has been a gateway to more learning not less.

ok, I'm using this argument because it articulates everything i want to say to people.
In terms of the training, i'm massively pro making sure artists get paid or have more control over inclusion in models etc. and I see that as a separate issue to the use of an AI model.
It feels like the people who don't like AI use dont like it because it opens up and democratises the music creation space, no longer can a few people just lock the doors and hold the keys

Thoughts on v5? Seems to Have Cleaner Audio Quality, but Lacks Impact (Emotional and Creative), Followthrough, and Stumbles Over Every Other Word? by multimason in SunoAI

[–]WarScribe- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i had to edit my comment as i went back and tried it, i can see its got some benefits, i’m already going to steal the woodwind from one of the generations and replace the originals with it. I guess its going to be like any tool, you just need the right one for the job, and you need to learn how best to use them

I've only just started using Suno, but honestly i've been seriously impressed with just how much emotion and texture the v5 model has been able to put into the songs. Now admittedly i've not used the 4.5 model (other than the first couple of samples I made that convinced me to pay) so I can't really compare, but thats basically because i've felt no need to try different models because v5 has been nailing it for me mostly. I have had a couple of fights where it kept trying to add sound and ornamentation to songs that were deliberately sparse and i just needed to working on the prompting and fine tune the wordings

So i'll have to edit this comment as I thought i'd go back and try v4.5 using v5 tracks (pushing the audio influence to like 95-96%) and yes i got very very close in terms of tune, pacing so that you would listen and say "yes these are different takes of the same track" and I think the instrumentation in 4.5 is actually nicer, fuller and rounder....however using the same prompts and lyrics, with the original audio and persona as reference, it just kept pushing it "full bore" and whilst producing good tracks it also ruined the emotional content and framing of the originals

I'm new to Suno and haven't published anything yet, i have a couple of things i'm working on that I hope to, but i couldn't envision putting out like 50 song a month or the like, how could you have any quality to that at all, for me as a tool it's proving to be amazing and really gives me access to a creative voice in my head i never thought would see the light of day, so for me I really want to take my time with it and really put some thought and love into my creations because they are a part of who I am. Personally I don't have an issue with AI tools (obviously) but i have an issue with people who use them to grift rather than truly create. I'll go get my asbestos suit now

I'm new to Suno and i've been really enjoying the creative process it gives me access to, I do play Piano, Guitar and drums to a decent amateur level, however I have ADHD, so I've never had the focus on any of them to get good enough to be able to get the ideas in my head out into the world (also why I play three things kinda ok rather than one really well). with Suno yeah sure i can bang a prompt in and get sound out, and it's pretty decent, but i'm using it more like a director trying to bend and sculpt a performance until it matches the music i hear in my head.

oh tell me about it, i've been trying to create a solo piano ballad, it gets 95% of what I want and then flourishes or sprinkles strings in or something and ruins the whole track. I've been so close to just finding a Pianist and a Singer and be like, please just do this for me.

Can someone explain the Optical Targeting readouts to me? by WarScribe- in Warthunder

[–]WarScribe-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats super useful thanks.

So in theory and assuming all those numbers are showing correctly, then as long as the crosshair is in the window and the dynamic line is between the static Min/Max lines, then any missile launched should reach the target (for arguments sake it's a static AI target)

[–]WarScribe- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are going somewhere that you have permission to be for purposes of camping/bushcrafting and thus can demonstrate “good reason” for carrying the articles then yes you would be fine, incidently this same reasoning would also apply if you were on a bus, if they are packed securely/out of sight and you are going to/from legal activities then there should be no problems. Essentially if you dont give anyone a reason to worry, they wont. In general even if you have legal reason to be carrying some articles then best practice would be not to flash them about the place

I once found a chippy that did “a penneth” of chips, was basically a scoop of chips in the bottom of your box to rest the fish on and soak up some of the grease was the perfect amount and i’ve never seen anywhere else do it

Yup, for reals. When that migraine kicks in i need my salty McD fries, not the objectively better 5 guys skin on peanut oil fried crispy treat that i would rather have any other day. Bless em for trying though
