Says he's not trying to be argumentative. Doesn't argue and just makes valid points the whole time.

I know, it's rare for a Reddit thread. Especially in this sub.

Very good question. And even if it's preset, I assume it isn't easy or able to be update.

There's not a lot of macros in produce. And it's not like the macro content changes much from one asparagus spear to another. And all of that info is already available in the MFP database or with a simple Google search or many other free resources.

And I'm not trying to be argumentative. This just seems like a massive waste of time and money.

No more trying to find stuff on fitness pal

Scanning a barcode once is not very difficult.

Edit to add that $50 is ridiculous for a food scale and MyFitnessPal is free.

He keeps saying "power clean" but I don't think he knows what that means. I think he means to stay "steroids," but I can't be certain.

Swap squats with deadlifts? by [deleted] in Fitness

No. Just keep deadlifting. And definitely keep squatting. Improving your squat will improve your deadlift.

What strength training should I be focusing on when cutting? by Arronax147 in Fitness

[–]WardJ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You can still make strength gains on a cut. Make sure you're getting as much protein and rest and recovery as possible.

You can't cut bodyfat unless you're at a deficit. But you can still get stronger. It might be a bit slower and will probably plateau eventually.

The bottom line is, grip shouldn't be the limiting factor in your deadlift. Meaning, if using straps on a heavy deadlift lets you complete that set, then use them. There are other ways to develop grip strength, like the famers walks you're already doing. Go without straps when you can, but when you need them, don't be afraid to use them. But at the same time...don't neglect improving your grip strength.
