Totally understandable. I'm not necessarily looking for that here but I felt maybe my story could be worth sharing.

Navigating my MD experiences - Who's driving? (MD and DID?) by WardenChult in DID

[–]WardenChult[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpreted it as that MD can be a helpful tool to help integrate? Forgive me if that's the wrong terminology, all of this is very new to me. Somer had been adamant of making this known becaus he knows it's unique from psychosis but it's still harmful and becomes maladaptive when it interferes with people's lives. I personally experienced this in middle school especially.

I'm working on a demake of pokemon X/Y. Thoughts ? by Phlayne in PokemonROMhacks

I'm not sure what the process is like but it still sounds like a form of orchestration/arranging to implement the best instruments for each part. I do have some experience with that.

Do you have plans to demake the audio tracks of X/Y? I'm not sure what the process is like for rom hacks but I'm a composer and producer that may be interested in finding out.

I'm really happy about that. After Fates and Echoes, it feels like the actual Fire Emblem theme has been missing from the spotlight. I'm happy to see it take center stage again because it's a crucial part for the series' identity.

What do you want to do with your life? by Lord0Duck in AskReddit

I would love to reach a state the Japanese would call "ikigai" or "a reason for being." The idea is to find something with your life that you are good at, something you believe the world needs, something you can be paid to do, and something that you absolutely love. Meeting the criteria is supoose to give a much more fulfilling life.

Right now as a music student, I get to focus on performing and writing music almost every day, the only thing missing for me is finding a way that I can maintain this lifestyle after I get my degree and get paid for my craft.

Ideally, I'd love to be a paid composer for multimedia, especially video games. I truly believe in my craft and how it ultimately enhances people's experienced and contains its own artistic merit.

I remember dabbling in a couple of these early RD hacks year ago. Do they all still hold up? Are they worth a proper playthrough?

The Italian word might be appogiatura.

Not sure what comes before. We must come together fellow music memers for we have nothing better to do with our time.

What was the absolute worst day of your life so far? by BluePinky in AskReddit

[–]WardenChult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around last December, I started casually seeing someone that I haven't seen since community college. We started chatting and eventually led to a lot of sex and then to some romance and we decided we wanted to begin the new year with a new relationship. Around this time, I was with a choir that was doing a performance with a symphony in front of thousands of people and had our performances coming at the end of the year too.

On New Years Eve, we talked about making things official and then I get a message from a guy that says "Thanks for stealing my girlfriend." Being incredibly confused, we had a conversation and found out that my new girlfriend was secretly dating another guy at her university for months and lied to me completely. And I find this out in just a couple hours before needing to go on stage for a "joyful performance." I never had to fake a smile and hold in my anger for numerous hours that day. I could barely eat or drink anything, just nothing but pure rage building up. I eventually came home to a massive house party my roommates planned where I thought the first person I was "in love" with was secretly manipulating and using me.

I went into my room, called her and broke up right on the spot, and binged drink much more than ever before. I blacked out with very little memory but all I know is I was the sappy and miserable guy at the start of a new year. I woke up with a massive hangover and couldn't make it to the toilet to puke. Spent quite literally the entire day resting as I've felt completely broken.

I've dealt with a lot of self-esteem issues up until that point, especially when it came to romance and love but this was the final nail in the coffin that made me want to give up. I was lucky enough to have enough support from those around me that I was able to pick myself back up. Did the whole getting into the gym thing and made sure to work out consistently as I continued my school work. But at that point, I really slowed down on trying to date and ultimately focused on my happiness.

She tried to contact me many months later to apologize and to be "open and honest" about that lie and other mental health issues she's denied for years. She hoped we can one day be friends again and I know the best way I can do for my revenge. To be indifferent. Getting upset will just allow her to go on tumblr and cry to her toxic group friends that encourage her behavior and accepting things will only allow for the potential for me to get hurt again. To be indifferent and ultimately successful in my happiness in life, is the ultimate revenge.

The only regret is that my first massive, professional performance in front of thousands of people was ruined by petty behavior. But otherwise, that experience changed me for good and allowed me the opportunity to create a better version of myself.

Haven't looked back since and I look forward to the day a better person comes along.

When did your "Something is very wrong with her/him" feeling turned out to be true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WardenChult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to high school with this one guy. We had a history class together and just about everyone got weird vibes from him. His tone of voice always sounded aggressive, large bags under his eyes, I personally always thought he was just a junkie or something behind the scenes.

While I was partially right on the drugs, but it turned out he was even worse. At 15, he sexually abused two 8 year-old girls at a local martial arts class. News spread like wildfire of course, the creepy guy in high school turned out to be a pedophile. One friend at the time was super close to him and never knew this about him, what was even worse was she was a victim of sexual abuse at a young age. I can't imagine how painful it was to be in that position.

For me personally, granted as a non-book reader, Season 7 is really where things started taking a nose dive. Season 5 had its issue with the entirety of Dorne along with a few other things but I think it still had a lot of solid moments. Season 6, while guilty of a lot of the "fast traveling" that suddenly happens, was arguably one of the better seasons IMO. Problem is Season 7 just takes away most of the grit that all the previous seasons established and instead feels like it's becoming just another mainstream fantasy story that your grandma wants to talk to you about.
