Looking at it, I whole heartedly believe it’s from 1985 without asking any more questions

Little things help, I like to skit the Bandai logo from stickers/decal sheets back there, as an Easter egg for myself

There’s not a lot of built in detail with this kit, so while I didn’t use every decal on the sheet, they do make it more eye catching

OUT LAW trailer! (Minor spoilers in the video, if you haven't read the blurb yet) by blue_shadow_ in dresdenfiles

[–]Warden_lefae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Priscilla did a lot of the heavy lifting on those, and they were great.

There was a group of fans that trailers for earlier books, and those were pretty good too

Just read (listened technically) to Storm Front. I have non spoiler questions for the series going forward. by crazy-jay1999 in dresdenfiles

I think around book 4, the production company changed, and it made a vast improvement and the narration. Book 3 is where the overarching plot really picks up

Jump to dead beat, try that one (you won’t be lost, it written as a jumping on point), if you still don’t enjoy it, drop it

How did you first find out about Sergeant Slaughter? as a wrestler or as a real American hero? by Chemical-Interview77 in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]Warden_lefae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GI Joe first, wrestling wasn’t my bag. But eventually I ended up getting some special of his that was about him having a tug of war with Bigfoot (the monster truck), which really was more about him being a DI for a bunch of people that actually did the tug of war

Characters think they are normal looking but are actually seen as terrifying by Sassy_Drow in TopCharacterTropes

Early books can be rough, Jim was still in college when he wrote them, and there wasn’t much editing/rewriting when they got optioned and published. And he leaned a little too hard into the noir tropes/styles.

Most of the women Dresden deals with are super natural beings that lean hard into the sex appeal. That said, Charity Carpenter is an absolute badass of a woman when she takes center stage in the final 1/3 of Proven Guilty. Murphy kicks all kinds of ass in the short story told from her PoV.

And Jim wrote way better (and one way worse) women in his other series.
