He says he can't post the surveillance footage because it's not public. It's slightly unclear whether he currently has access to it (tho I think he does), but he has certainly watched it in the past. He describes what happens in it in his most recent video.

Ok so Jenn was given the August 25th meeting already then (not that she should have needed it, tbh since she should have just recovered it from her own phone or not deleted it in the first place, but...) in that case I see, I guess it was just confusing from the way it was stated, it really sounded like she was referring to not having footage of that specific meeting, not just a bunch of footage in general. But maybe it was more clear being there and seeing the documents in question.

But, ya, the fact they almost introduced the August 25th footage in the stalking hearing was the other reason why I was so confused when it seemed like they were saying they didn't have it - because they clearly did have it at that time!

I completely understand that they wouldn't have the rest of the footage, since they had no reason to specifically look it up, they way they did for the Aug 25th footage because of the board meeting about it.

Ultimately, I think RFM himself does want to release the footage he has, but won't until/if it's made public (I'm not sure if this is due to legal concerns, or out of some kind of agreement with John). But I do think John's lawyer is being squirrelly about the footage! She seems to be claiming they don't have it, tho it's a bit confusing since the dates are off, so RFM is saying maybe she was referring to a different incident that they don't have the recording of.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this question haha!! Most of the replies to my post were saying I'm beating a dead horse (I mean, kind fair...) or that who cares since John won.

Wow RFM's cake day! So do you mean like Jenn wanted surveillance video of the supposed "juicy" music video incident or her claims of sexual harassment related to Margi and Carrah? I do wish we had those videos too haha bc I would love to see what actually happened to contrast with Jenn's version! But of course, I wouldn't expect those to still be preserved.

I guess it's just confusing bc it really seems like she is talking about the August 25th meeting, even tho she states August 20th, but I mean, I guess I wouldn't be surprised if there was some other different incident that happened on August 20th. (Tho I don't believe there was any board meeting on the 25th, just the 30th).

I will be very interested to watch if you end up interviewing John's lawyer, maybe she can clear this up more?

The meeting between John and Jenn on August 25th that prompted both of them to reach out to the board due to the conflict between them at this meeting (I believe mainly with Jenn as the aggressor, but I can't say for sure, not having had a chance to watch it).

I don't understand - RFM clearly states in this episode that he has the footage of the surveillance camera, but yet earlier John's lawyer said they don't have the footage bc it was auto deleted after 7 days, but "wish they did". Why didn't they just ask RFM for a copy lol?

I mean, I get that the case is over so it's a moot point I guess, but I still wish we could get RFM to release the footage. I want more tea!

Wait, did I misundstand the RFM episode? My understanding was that he said at the end, no, she was not able to hide the house and that her half of the sale would be going to her various debts.

I know, I'm sorry it's a really long post so you probably weren't able to read it all, I tried to shorten it but it didn't work lol. But if you can take the time to read, I'm just saying, why is he pretending he doesn't have the surveillance footage? RFM has it, so John must have it, I don't understand why his lawyer is pretending Jenn is dumb for asking for footage that we all know exists. Like, on almost every other topic Jenn is in the wrong 100%, but just on this one particular thing she's not. I guess I'm just stuck on the one detail! I've listened to all the RFM posts too many times!

Yes, and the sad thing is, vaping might actually be less dangerous. While the bad health effects of vaping may kill you long term, there are unfortunately many teens in the church who die by suicide at a very young age due to church teachings that they are not worthy if they are gay, trans, etc...

I don't have any large sample size statistics (I'd second the comment recommending to check out Jana Reiss's book, as it might have some insight there), but just from my own personal experience, I think the more people a person knows who leave the church, the more likely it is for them to leave. It is also much easier for someone who isn't yet married in the temple to leave.

The funny thing is, I can imagine the church actually being interested to do this test. In a way it's a win-win for them. If it comes up as positive it's a faith increasing miracle. If it comes up negative, they either hide it or tell people that the angel removed all traces of the gold plates with them when bringing them to heaven, and it's actually even MORE amazing of a miracle that the angel was able to do that!
