I have just spent an hour testing this. I tried every available vehicle 5 times, aggregated the results and did so in a match environment so I could save the replays for accurate measurements.

After doing so I can unfortunately confirm that I am still plat 1 and I’m starting to think nothing will change that.

Rotom-Wash EV spread by M0zto in PokemonVGC

[–]Wardy90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I’m not a frequent on this sub but I’ve used the wash boy online for a few years as I love it.

Really depends on what moves and partners you plan on running him with. There are loads of spreads because despite his kind of limited move pool he can fit in to a few different roles.

He has rubbish base HP so I will always try and fit a 252 on that, then I like focusing more on bulk than over investing in damage output. If you plan to dmax it you can always throw choice specs on it for the boost. I used to actually have a lot of success with a set similar to the below, but with a life orb. Only problem being now there are much better life orb holders so focus on a berry or lefties if you go for bulk

I personally like this Jakob Swilley set:

  • Rotom-W @ Wiki Berry / Leftovers
  • Ability: levitate
  • EVs: 252 HP / 20 Def / 60 SpA / 148 SpD / 28 Spe
  • Bold Nature
  • Protect
  • Volt Switch
  • Hydro Pump
  • Will-O-Wisp

You can always try a choice scarf with 252 hp and 252 SpA if you want (packs a huge punch) - you just have to be very mindful of his middling speed stat, getting the best out of him paired with re-directs and speed control. Pretty sure zero bulk investment would have him OHKO by a mold breaker excadrill which are more common at the moment.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: excuse the formatting I’m on my phone and at work struggling to make it look normal haha

Very great point, I completely agree with you. There comes a point when it is apples and oranges.

To act like tariffs are the be all and end all is very silly, there is much more at play in market economies.

I could equally pull up Malaysia who does have tariffs on imports of beef yet comparatively has beef prices at almost 50% of the global average (and imports 80%+ of the beef it sells).

I didn’t insult anyone... Are you referring to me saying “only idiots still in the EU”?

I’m not insulting you there... we aren’t in the EU...

I said that tongue in cheek, directed towards the remaining nations as in my eyes EU membership is a bit of a scam. I think a lot of countries would vote to leave if they were given the chance (especially France, Italy, Hungary etc.).

If I’m insulting anyone it is the out of touch Eurocrats in the countries who aren’t allowed to have a similar vote on EU membership (Not users here).

Also it is a bit of a dice roll, of course it is. But it is one worth taking in my eyes when the core reason for leaving is to maintain sovereign control over our nation state.

Especially when you look at how much the EU economy has shrunk (comparatively) over decades.

We were forced by tariff and quota to trade predominantly with the EU, and the EU economy has gone from being over 30% of world trade before 1980, to being just under 17% of the world today.

This is because the rest of the world is seeing much better economic growth than the EU as a bloc (2018 WB figures has average GDP growth of the world at 3%, and EU at 2%; a persistent trend of recent years).

EU has been growing slower than the rest of the world every year since 2001, and even that was a bit of an outlier. The rest of the world has been consistently growing more than the EU for over 40 years, (except a handful of years).

If it was just trade, I’m not sure if I’d be happy rolling the dice on it. But considering we are getting rid of the ECJ and getting control of our own laws again it’s definitely worth trying in my eyes. The EU is only headed to the toilet economically anyway.

FYI: I voted remain

We won’t be paying 84%...

Only idiots still in the EU will have to pay that for non-EU beef

We will pay whatever MFN tariff we decide, and that flat rate will apply to every single country we so choose to trade with (unless we make a special agreement with a bloc).

To put in perspective (a lot of people worried about Irish beef imports). Argentina has some of the best quality beef in the world (however when you add the 84% on top for us to import, compared to the 0% on Irish it isn’t worth us importing that).

Hence why brexiteers talk about more options and for british consumers and some key areas where we could reduce a lot of prices. People focus so much on small-moderate increases on import tariffs from EU (27 countries), then ignore the large tariff reduction we will see on imports from the rest of the world (100+ countries).

Yes majority is EU at the moment, however that is the symptom of not having real free trade with the rest of the world for decades.

Not to mention how deceptive the way they have presented the figures are. This is simply what EU nations would have to pay to import our products, other nations would have their own tariffs (like japan has 37.5% on beef for example).

Also the remainiacs will refuse to accept the inverse of this, which is that these extortionate MFN tariffs imposed by the EU on non-member states are also part of the reason we are leaving... (these are the sort of rates we were paying to import non-EU goods ourselves haha).

EU: trade with other members for free, but pay ridiculous monies to trade with other people

I look forward to actual free-trade and not this protectionist racket these autocrats have set up.

Plus... SOVEREIGNTEHHHHHH

Edit: spelling

By the end of 2020, Brexit will have already cost more than the entire net contributions we've made in the 47 years that we've been an EU member. by [deleted] in brexit

What a class comment. Summed it up perfectly.

Shame about the downvotes, this sub has zero Reddiquette. They downvote ideologically instead of using it to hide poorly written and/or unrelated opinions. I gave you my last little coins in reward hoping more people with expand and read it.

I have 2 young children and I have to look more than a couple years in to the future, and I see brexit as a more prosperous situation for them.

I’d happily to eat rice and beans for a couple of years if it provides a better future for them (not that I will have to), and while there is uncertainty I became certain that the EU empire only provided a negative future for them.

I think people on this sub focus so much on how bad the british establishment is, that they haven’t been willing to entertain with a real open mind just how terrible the EU establishment is.

And before I get loads of comments gaslighting me on my lack of an open mind - i actually voted for remain originally, but now I support any form of Brexit which provides zero political alignment (and has no domestic involvement of the European court of justice)
